PKE fans

I had 2 Rovers fans in front of me on Saturday. They were both in their 60s, and shuffled off on 90 minutes. I suspect there will be the odd Nobber in the home end, I'd guess they'd try to get them in the South near their fans. The stewards and police will need to be on their toes that is for sure.

I was 'on' the Town End at Deepdale with my sister's ex-boyfriend, a Nobber, when we beat them 1-0 11 years ago, courtesy of Charlie. I remember him gripping me when we scored and telling me to stay sat down or we'd be killed lol. I'm sure there'll be Nobbers in the crowd, you won't see most of them, just the odd one stupid enough to let themselves be known by acting an idiot.

Did it at chesterfield once ,they all knew around us (because the same people stand their every week for home games ),stood out like a sore thumb ,remember whispering to my wife as super Brett was bearing down on goal ,to keep her mouth shut (worst bit was cheering their team off at the end when they had won)🤣 oh happy days being a tangerine 👍.

Had a good laugh at Bramall Lane with Shef Utd supporters the season we got promoted to the Prem, we were 1-0 down after 2 minutes from memory. My mate Steve is a season ticket holder there - had some good banter with blokes around me, they knew their football, no problems at all..

My partners brother is a nobber (nice lad just a bit thick) and tbf he’ll watch any game of football if it’s on and has nothing to do. We occasionally go to Lancaster or Morecambe games together if the Pool or PNE aren’t playing. We’ve said for a couple of years that I’ll go Derpdale with him and he’ll come to Bloomfield Road with me one day. As long as you’re not a nob I don’t see any reason why you can’t handle a well behaved opposition fan sat around you especially if they’re with another Seasider. At the end of the day it’s a game of football.

TBH, in the circumstances (i.e. where ground is a sell out), I think it's out of order to bring a knobber in the home ends. You also never know how someone might 'react'. On balance it's a bit irresponsible... The club go to lengths to keep the home ends clear of away supporters at these fixtures for a reason.

Completely agree! Would never bring him to a derby. He’ll get Reading on a Tuesday night or something. Wouldn’t bring him if it meant a Seasider missing out.

My fault for not making that clear. I can confirm that on the 23rd he’ll be in the East I’ll be in the South with my old man and given the chance I’ll knife the bastard (a joke btw - as per the old graffiti)

In fact has anyone got a picture of that graffiti ? Would like to send him it !

Hi, by the way i am a PNE fan but i dont want any trouble on here, just a few points from a Preston perspective. Firstly we dont really think 2200 is enough tickets at all, and i think some of your fans agree with us. I think that is why some PNE fans will be getting in your ends. We also saw that you have got Maxwell, Keogh and Lavery injured. Do you know if they will be back in time for the game against us or not? We have a few players out as well, so you wouldnt be the only ones if you did
On the players, who knows, all three are muscle injuries. I suspect Lavery the biggest doubt so you may have to watch Yates scoring instead :)

That brings back memories (not great ones), my first 3 cars (and they couldn’t have been much worse)…
1 - Renault 4
2 - Austin Allegro
3 - Princess

Given she looks rather tutonic. I’d suggest she’s more likely to be related to you, Adolf.
Only the second time in my life I have seen/heard Teutonic and the first time was in the brilliant Mel Brookes film Blazing Saddles.

You can find that graffiti photo on Google images .

Has anyone a picture of the Blackpool graffiti that was on their pub outside the town end at deepdale?

Why is it some people just can't behave themselves at or around football . & need to be "Angry" towards opposition fans ? Banter yes but dickhead style violent behaviour ? I just don't get it .

Let’s be honest, they’re gonna struggle to sell 2,200. I can’t actually remember a time when they sold all their allocation for a game at BR. Around 12 years ago when we were in the Championship, they had an allocation of 1,750 in the old Gene Kelly stand, but struggled to sell only 1,700. Going further back to around 1999/2000, the club gave them the whole east and the allocation was 5,500. This was a season when we were struggling and they were pushing for promotion. They only sold 3,800 and were wetting themselves over their biggest ever away support. Some deluded PNE fans were reckoning they had more fans there than home fans. Not the case as it was a 5 figure attendance. Deluded fans, pointless club.
Well they’ve sold them in 3 days of sales. Bit of a daft comment really wasn’t it.

I really don't understand why you're expecting more tickets? If it wasn't for the safety situation, Blackpool fans would be taking that half of the stand anyway, so you'd have exactly the same. Why do you think you'd get more tickets than Liverpool, United et al in the same stand?

What I find pretty amazing is that the police would rather direct the away fans into the path of exiting home fans rather than hold you back for 10 minutes at the end. Oh, and reduce your away capacity by half. BFC must be losing thousands per match and the away fans face an unnecessary lottery for who can/can’t attend. 🤨
