PKE Takeover

I am not up to speed with the PNE balance sheet but I presume that there will be a large loan account back to the Hemming's family unless they have converted it to capital and will never get it back. So how does a £50m purchase stack up for the assets if there is also a large balance to the family. Unless the family are prepared to walk away ?

According to a Nobber friend of mine who has some contacts at board level there, there is an American consortium in discussions to buy the club.

F@ck knows why.

They are still adamant the club is debt free, fairly sure the tax man wouldn't be happy about that nonsense

That was on Twitter last weekend and most of the Nobbers replying weren't too happy about it.

Hemmings has lost £90m in 14 years and by next season, that figure will be well over £100m......for another season of mid table mediocrity.

Anybody buying the Knobbers, will have to fork out £40m to Hemmings and then cover monthly losses which stand at £1m - £1.3m a month
Then they will have to make repairs to Sleepdale, as the fans say it's falling to bits and Hemmings said it would cost £1m+just to do the roof

And what are they getting?
The club and a cursed training ground.....They wont even own Sleepdale, because it's built on land owned and run by the local council.
OK, it's on a long lease, but the value of the ground is cut in half because the club doesn't own the land it's built on.

So....£40m to buy it.....£12m - £14m a year in losses....£3m for repairs....That's £55m.......and the club has lost money for 13 out of the last 14 years.
And that's before they have to find a budget to buy new players......

Hemmings wants out......he and his Sister have said they will stop funding the club....Even if they sold it for £1.......The new owners are still going to be losing money from day 1.

My advice......Nuke the whole thing and make it a parking lot......It's more interesting watching cars parking, than PKE

Build another bus station, they seem to love those in Nobberland. 😂

Club will sell for what people are willing to pay.

Then the Hemmings family will have to sell it for £1 as no matter what, the new owners will have to find £12m - £15m every year to keep it open
Is it 96% of Knobbers that want Lowe gone?
Riis, Millar and Browne are all off as well.....How much will they need to spend to replace them
99.9% of their fans are complete fuckwitts who wont even buy a season ticket unless it's discounted
They are bankrupt and the fans know it......if it wasn't for Hemmings, they would be playing at Chorley's ground

Most of the owners' "investment" was in the form of capital, another £10m or so for 2022/23, so there isn't much in the way of debt for the company.

Quite who they think is going to stump up £50m for a club that loses £13m per season when Derby went for ~ 1/4 of that amount is another matter.

Doesn't that start verging into the profit and sustainability rules they keep going on about?

Football is bonkers. In what other industry would that be a viable business?!

They'd be better off buying Morecombe for a pittance and making sheds loads of cash on the Netflix documentary "From Miami Vice to Miserable Morecombe "..

If any club or town has the profile, an amazing story, from nothing to riches to rags and then only recently on the up again, still the UK's most popular holiday destination attracting over 20 million people a year etc... it's of course.... Cleethorpes.

Of course not it's Blackpool and as a club we have good history, some unbelievable legend players, a unique recent history and haven't fulfilled our potential anywhere near yet. We're not a boring club, always ups and downs.

A Netflix documentary about us if we got a take over or even if we didn't would do very well as the town is just so well known.

Couldn't agree more, which is why my plan of going from quasi anonymous American Blackpool fan to majority owner by 2040 will be such a successful Netflix series.

Hope people will be ok with the Stars and Stripes are flying at Bloomfield Road!
