I'm not claiming to be a super fan, just posting what I consider to be a salient point on a football forum.
From my “initial” research Kudo it looks like 25 people can travel on a 53 seater with toilet. #88Maybe from the 17th there are no restrictions on coaches
You're missing my point King Billy. I strongly agree that season ticket sales are the life blood of the club but I'm questioning the fairness of the benefits that are included. How many season ticket holders travel to all the games down south ? I go to almost all of them because I live in London and that is the reason why I don't attend many home games.OK so why do the club promote season tickets at all? If, as you suggest, is to the financial detriment to the club and only serves to benefit the fan.
It’s because season ticket sales are absolute crucial to the finances of the club when it comes to the budget etc.
If you want to pick and choose your matches that’s absolutely fine and helps the club that you attend but to place them above fans who commit and pay for every single home league match before a ball has been kicked is absolutely ridiculous and would be a PR disaster.
Thankfully that decision is absolutely nothing to do with you.
Utter dribble could you imagine what it would make us look like as a club if we did a lottery for Final tickets and ST holders were in the raffle. It's an awkward one due to the pandemic. I think that ST holders should be given first dibs for the semi as they've had very little for their money this season. However, if we get to the final I think that you choose names randomly from the home and away databases so all supporters have an equal chance of attending. I always hated the band A status that the stains employed and firmly believe that there should be no preferential treatment.
He'd have got finance that the club provides free(they just pay full price not early bird) for a season ticket. But what about your neighbour who lives across the road who can't afford the upfront cost of a season ticket but pays on the gate for every home game that season ? He'll have paid more than you over the season so surely he should be ahead of you in the queue perhaps ?
Steady on chaps, they will be printing directions to Wembley in Sunday’s Program next...
Talking of which, if, and I do mean a big if
A) we reach final
B) its at Wembley
C) fans are allowed
How will restrictions to coach travel apply, 52 seater coach but only 26 occupants, going to cost each passenger double. We could end up taking more coaches but less fans than we did against Cardiff.
Guessing same would apply to rail travel. I can’t imagine many are happy to drive themselves and passengers - well if you like a beer or three yourself you might not be!
Haven't they all been vaccinated by now the over 50's at least with one dose? They should allocate tickets to under 50's only. Less chance of them getting seriously ill from COVID should that occur.
Probably the safest way to go. And it would mean louder and more passionate support.
Ive had my first at 41 and they are going down the ages probably into the late 30s now.... Most over 60s should have had thier second by nowHaven't they all been vaccinated by now the over 50's at least with one dose?
Nobody at the Vic with Covid now.
He'd get priority over the occasional attendee. No one really pays on the gate anymore. You go to the ticket office and buy your ticket. Thats then logged with your account. More games you attend the higher up the pecking order. In the olden days you had to show ticket stubs. But what about your neighbour who lives across the road who can't afford the upfront cost of a season ticket but pays on the gate for every home game that season ? He'll have paid more than you over the season so surely he should be ahead of you in the queue perhaps ?
They haven't mentioned any restrictions to me mate. They seem to think they'll be given the go ahead on the 17th. Can you ring me?From my “initial” research Kudo it looks like 25 people can travel on a 53 seater with toilet. #88
Yawn, another lazy post reader.Absolutely ridiculous discussion this. As a non-STH (due to not living local) I'm fully prepared to not get a ticket for either semi nor (IF we get there) the final. STHs should be prioritised for both.
The OP's claim that STHs should get priority for the semis and then they should find a different way of prioritising for the final is hypocritical in itself and stinks of "I can't be bothered with the semis but I'd quite like a day out at Wembley"
I agree to an extent but it is also true that this year, season ticket holders have actually paid *more* than non season ticket holders and there have (Swindon game aside) been no queues. They will get priority no doubt, I'd strongly disagree that they 'should'. Supporters buy season tickets to get a discounted rate and a preferential place in the queue for the bigger games. All this bollocks about helping the club, is exactly that, bollocks !
I suggest we see what happens in the semis, and not mention it at all.Assuming that we win the semis and season ticket holders get first dibs on the semi tickets, who gets first dibs on the final tickets ?
I started the post with the word ' assuming ' so it's a hypothetical question.I suggest we see what happens in the semis, and not mention it at all.
Bradford lives long in the memory.
Whoever printed in the semis programme about the final was clearly not very bright.
It was used as motivation to beat us.
A lesson still not learned.

The arrogance on whose part Mac out of curiousity ?Totally. The arrogance of this thread is amazing. Some people on this thread have probably booked their London accommodation for the PO final. I'm surprised they aren't talking about the Championship away fixtures already.
It starts off with your "assuming we get past the semi finals" and never recovers. I just hope opposition supporters don't read it. Of course there are several posts attempting to reign in the arguments of who is getting what like house wives outside Primark on Black Friday morning but the bitching continues regardless. The arrogance on whose part Mac out of curiousity ?

Personally I'm not at fighting over tickets for Wembley. I'm about Bristol Rovers tomorrow and then knowing who we get to play in the play off 1st leg.
It gives me the chance to sit with the same 7 friends every game in good seats. Many choose not to buy a season ticket for several reasons. Some can't afford the upfront cost, some don't live in Blackpool so don't do home games regularly. Neither of these reasons should preclude them from being given an opportunity to attend the game, we are supporters too. Some seem to think that being a season ticket holder gives them some sort of ' Uber ' fan status, it doesn't and shouldn't. I must admit that I've never heard a ST holder explain that the reason for purchasing a ST was to save a few quid, it's always I'm helping the club !
Can you callThey haven't mentioned any restrictions to me mate. They seem to think they'll be given the go ahead on the 17th. Can you ring me?
First time I’ve watched this since that fateful night. All I could remember was they nearly scored a 4th. You couldn’t give your shirt/scarf away in the Saddle after, brought back some bad memories. A painter who was working on the same job as me went on holiday as his wife booked it, on going Pool were 2 up from the first leg. He rang his mate after this game just to see how many we had won by & that after finding a group of Nobbers staying at the same hotel, the news got worse. Oyston had been locked up & we had lost 3-0. He though his mate was taking the piss & not until it was confirmed by a few others did it sink in, I gather he seriously got the piss taken by our friends from PNE & it totally ruined his holiday. No repeats please. You beat me to it, Bayern
LOL just watched that and seen a younger self at Bradford jumping around celebrating the 2nd Blackpool goalYou beat me to it, Bayern
It does and it should ! No one said life was fair..but hey ho.Many choose not to buy a season ticket for several reasons. Some can't afford the upfront cost, some don't live in Blackpool so don't do home games regularly. It would be funny if we lost so that somebody could piss on your chips. It does and it should ! No one said life was fair..but hey ho
