Player we miss the most is Ryan Wintle

At the moment because Connolly has to play right back, we only have 4 fit midfielders Dougal, Carey, Patino and Wright. It just never really seems balanced. Wright is maybe not ready for the championship yet from the few performances we have seen. It just seems to be all too lightweight when Carey, Dougal and Patino play together, it just doesnt seem to gel and lackes 'bite'. Even the few games Bridcutt played when he was only half fit made a huge difference, we looked more balanced. If only we had a player like Ryan Wintle, I think we would have made a huge difference.

Wintle, Anderson and Bowler - our three best players from last year gone or injured. It has made a huge difference.

We've got three Wintle's already!
One has to play at RB as for the second season in a row as the club has messed up again in that position.
Stewart a permanent crock.
Bridcutt we signed another crock.
Both getting paid for sat on their backsides and we still need to bring another Wintle in January as the back up RB is a kid who's been playing in the equivalent our L2 in Ireland!

Wintle is an oven ready Championship midfielder. Players like him cost decent money and have limited resale value. The question is whether the owner feels that we have the funds to buy players like him or whether we have to go a different route. Said it before and I'm happy to stand by it; if we can't 'afford' that sort of player, because we are building a new East and a new TG then it's a sacrifice I'm OK with. Of course, the sacrifice on the pitch needs to be backed up by movement on infrastructure projects off it. The owners should be given time to deliver, but that time period is not infinite.

Tbh if a player in League 2 had the same statistics at the end of the season as what Lyons had in Ireland then there’d still be a clamour to sign him from pretty much every Championship club. Give the lad a chance at least. Seamus Coleman was just a kid in Ireland before Everton signed him.

People have such short memories, do you not remember how good keshi was last season?

Wintle went to Cardiff on a free in the summer 2021 then came to us start of the season so not sure he was an oven ready Championship player he was when he left us!

You comparing the size of Everton with us.😂
I give every player a chance always have but also don't try and put pressure on the young lad that he's going to be the next Seamus.👍

Change of manager did for us at Cardiff as he wasn’t in favour at the time.
Hopefully there’s a few Champ ready but out of favour players avail in Jan on loan or sensible deal. Wages though as ever are our Achilles heel unless they can be part covered as part of the transfer fee

Fiorini could be pivotal for us depending on if he comes back.
Is he one of those injury prone players though
Of the 5 loans
Patino definitely keep
Williams OK and has stepped up to the plate recently
Corbeanu looked good early on and scored important goals but faded before his injury.
Poveda and Fuorini not seen enough.
We may need one or two of those loan places to strengthen the team/squad.
Hopefully next season we wi not be so reliant on loans.

Everton and Newcastle your recent comparisons

Have a lie down kid

I’m not sure I’d pin it down to a specific player and if I did, then I’d choose a fit Kevin Stewart over Ryan Wintle.

There’s no doubt we’re lacking in the Middle though, right the way from back to front. Though of you were to pick one position the solve CM would be it.

Literacy not your strong point ? At what point did I say Blackpool and Everton are similar size. Baffling.

Jesus wept. You’re actually making yourself look a bit simple. Not sure how saying to give a lad from Ireland a chance is the same as saying Blackpool and Everton can be compared. But points do tend to go over your head… along with most things it would seem. 😂

I think you need to re read what you posted

Seamus Coleman was just a kid in Ireland before Everton signed him ?
Yeah I know that so was Roy Keane before Forest signed him

But you are trying to compare Lyons with Coleman a bit like your ridiculous Newcastle/Howe one the other day

You need to have a break son

I’m really not. I know you like to be purposefully obtuse but it’s 100% clear to anyone of even limited intellect that saying a player from Ireland should be given a chance before being deemed not good enough is not the same as saying Andy Lyons is the next Seamus Coleman. Nor is it saying Blackpool and Everton are similar sized clubs.

Likewise pointing out that different managers can get differing performances out of the same players (such as Eddie Howe with Almiron versus Steve Bruce with Almiron) is not saying that Blackpool and Newcastle are the same.

You’re either a fantastic parody, a wum or a complete imbecile. And if it’s the latter then I apologise for calling you a clown so many times

And who has said Lyons wouldn't be given a chance I haven't seen one post even suggesting such nonsense

Anyway I would love to carry banging my head against a brick wall with you but I'm setting off to watch Blackpool play

Someone said we need another DM as as far as I can make out they think Connolly will still be needed at RB as the new back up RB (Lyons) is just a kid from Ireland. My point was that we shouldn’t be assuming he’s no good just because he’s from Ireland as a player with his performances and statistics in a comparable league (League 2) would be hot property and possibly quite a good player.

Yeah he may well be a good player just like Seamus Coleman 😉

I know how your best bud Michael Appleton feels. I’m slated for being negative and then slated for being positive. Damned if I do and damned if I don’t 😂
I've never met Appleton as far as I'm aware I just think unfair comparisons with Eddie fcuking Howe and a billionaire owner or a Bowler inspired Critchley team with a first season feel good factor are like comparing apples with mushrooms so to speak

Anyway got to go big game tonight

Support the lads

top class trolling 👍

I think we are missing Josh Bowler the most, despite our midfield/possession/defensive worries. He took pressure off the rest of the team with his mazy runs and got us into very promising positions. There is no one near what he was able to achieve for us in a majority of games. The opposition would be focused and concentrated on him, to the point where there were 2 or 3 marking him which gave up free space for other players to play a more comfortable game.

Agreed. Poveda is improving with each game, and if I recall, Josh Bowler also had a slow start with us. I'm hoping he continues to improve.
