Please don't pick Carey

He must be superb in training as he seems to be get the nod over much more talented midfielders every week.

But whilst his work rate cannot be questioned, my heart sinks every time he is picked because he's simply not good enough.
Hasn't started last two games why some of fans want to single out one of OUR young players learning his trade saying he's not good enough is beyond belief.
Boy wonder Patino has equally blown hot and cold this season and he'll be back to Arsenal in May.

SC has had a few games this season where the game has passed him by, the same can be said about CP.

But I think that's mainly down to the lack of a couple of CDM's behind them (not really breaking news that's been our most injury prone position).

For balance, I thought Sony and Charlie were excellent in the home game against Preston.

I reckon he'll be on the bench because Fiorini and Patino will start. As PS said, he's a young talent learning every game, but we need points now (obvious mode off).

Two young lads who are not natural defenders. Build that into their games and they will both go far.

Sonny is a cracking young player with good vision and good movement. This season has been shite but you can’t blame the young lads for that . Whether we stay up or are relegated , this season will have been a great education for the young lads and will only make them better for the future, so get off their backs and support the team !

Mick clearly understands the importance of this game. With his undeniable experience, he will pick the players who he believes will best be able to handle the occasion, give their all & NOT get sent off for making a stupid mistake when under pressure.
Mick & TC will pick the best team for the job & then it's down to the players. Our job as supporters, is to support & motivate each and every one of them.

Despite your optimistic post, I am dreading 11:30 tomorrow and I pray he at least has a go because losing every away game so far is just shite.

Keep a cool head DtDS - all will be fine 🤞
We have to be optimistic or we'll get a stress headache!
We must play 100% better than we did at Dungdale last season, where we were gutless, spineless, bottle less, ball less & everything else less!

I have a stinking headache already just worrying about what bizarre team and tic tacs he will magic up.

I used to feel the same about Virtue who clearly isn’t good enough imo.Carey is a good player and will continue to improve.

I'm not his biggest fan but ultimately shows how short we are compared to a lot of teams when we're expecting a kid from King's Lynn to do a job in midfield like more established/better players in the championship....ultimately comes down to lack of quality recruitment again.

Not Championship standard. Like Connolly, if he is starting regularly, it's a big problem. They are okay to have in the squad but shouldn't be regular starters. Too many players that are at L1 level have played far too many games this season and that's why we are where we are.

Love Sonny. He's a footballer. If you can't see it, you aren't watching. He's not been well served by the make up of the team this year and his role within that but he's class.

As posted on the last three threads slating him: he’s a kid who we signed from non-league. He should have spent the season dropping in and out, building up experience. He was made our first choice Centre kid alongside an equally inexperienced young kid with no protection. Neither have been coached. Both have a lot of potential and talent.

Well said @poolseasider - more confidence from fans and he might unleash that shooting boot of his a bit more often!
