You forgot to say ‘except Appleton’It's got to the point where you would take anyone. Even big Mick.
'Get a tune' was a reference to McCarthy. What was he trying to do then? He was keen to get the job apparently.
Sorry, but that is a ridiculous comment. We’d had a shambles of a season up to that point. If we’d brought Dobbie in instead of McCarthy we might of stayed up. You seem to have a downer on Dobbie for some reason, no idea why.Who he then sent out to play how they wanted. I reckon we all could have done as well.
I know it was. But you make out that Dobbie didn't really do anything, all he had to do was choose eleven players and tell them to do their best or something. Let the relief do the rest.'Get a tune' was a reference to McCarthy.
Because everyone else thinks he's the saviour, I'm merely pointing out that six dead rubber games doesn't mean he's necessarily the right man. I know everyone has a hard on for Dobbie but there could be better candidates.Sorry, but that is a ridiculous comment. We’d had a shambles of a season up to that point. Fuks sake, it's tongue in cheek man, has this forum disappeared so far up it's own arse that you can't even play devil's advocate now? Is there a font or something to flag it up now no one can think a little laterally?I know it was. But you make out that Dobbie didn't really do anything, all he had to do was choose eleven players and tell them to do their best or something. Let the relief do the rest.
I don't usually misjudge irony so maybe you gave me good reason to?Fuks sake, it's tongue in cheek man, has this forum disappeared so far up it's own arse that you can't even play devil's advocate now? Is there a font or something to flag it up now no one can think a little laterally?
Not against us exploring other candidates, but I think Dobbie should be interim until the summer. If he does well make it permanent, if not, nothing lost, we’ve had 5/6 months to consider other managers.Because everyone else thinks he's the saviour, I'm merely pointing out that six dead rubber games doesn't mean he's necessarily the right man. If it helps I said on these very pages last year that I'd give him the job, that was before Critchley who was a better appointment at the time.
I can't help but be very convincing .I don't usually misjudge irony so maybe you gave me good reason to?
There's plenty of people saying the same without any irony....
Yes, Dobbie's team won 3 and lost 3, which is 50% of the available points. Across a season that would have put us on 69 points and a top half finish in the Championship. So lost three?
I don't think Sadler is convinced though, between Critchley and Dobbie I'd gave gone for Critchley but would have been happy with Dobbie. Not against us exploring other candidates, but I think Dobbie should be interim until the summer. But end of the season games can mean little, especially as our three wins were against mid table.Yes, Dobbie's team won 3 and lost 3, which is 50% of the available points. Across a season that would have put us on 69 points and a top half finish in the Championship.
The law is we have to appoint an ex player. Technically, Dobbie never signed for us and is therefore ineligible.Sorry, but that is a ridiculous comment. I've heard Martin Malaury Martin has his coaching badges...The law is we have to appoint an ex player. Technically, Dobbie never signed for us and is therefore ineligible.
I'd be pushing the likes of Wellens, Beech, Southern, Adam etc if you really want to get traction with the next managerial appointment.
Obviously, the second time round works like a charm when the Board consider these things, so there's a case for Bowyer and Ollie to be considered. Allardyce is free...
All true but we were relegated before the last match and went to Norwich and beat them. That's the most you can ask of any team. But end of the season games can mean little, especially as our three wins were against mid table.
For Wellens I'd bite your clichéd hand off.The law is we have to appoint an ex player. Technically, Dobbie never signed for us and is therefore ineligible.

Also the form team along with Chesterfield in that leagueChris Beech a name to keep your eye on.
Fylde looked dead and buried at Christmas when he took over down at the bottom miles adrift and now 9 games unbeaten now and a 0-5 romp tonight.
Chesterfield are walking that league already 23 points clear and could set an all time record for most points won in a season. Also the form team along with Chesterfield in that league
