PLFS PNE AWAY & TODAYS POLICING

Firstly, I would like to thank the 30 or so regular members who have kept PLFS “Poulton-Le-Fylde Seasiders” in existence this season with their loyalty.

Secondly, I think we all know our number is up in the Championship now, but I remain hopeful that Simon & his board will deliver the “Strategic Aims” (Training Facility & East Stand Community Project) in months not years so as when we do (& we will) return to the Championship we will be a “Championship Club” unlike the “Division 1/2 Club” he initially invested in (purchased from the Oystons!!) well “indirectly”.

Thirdly, we are ALL no doubt fed up with todays result but…..whilst there were mistakes (bad ones!) on the pitch today every player who wore the Tangerine Shirt today, at least looked like the were “proud of it”, be it the fact that as players alone few are good enough for The Championship.

Finally, after the “Policing Fiascos” at the last 3 Derby’s from a coach travel perspective Lancashire Police did an “excellent professional job today” In My Opinion.
So whilst I’m quick to criticise when they blatantly F… Up, I am equally prepared to praise them when they get things right.

I hope all Poolsters, especially those that travelled today enjoy the rest of their respective weekends and here’s to better things/times 😀🧡👍

Kind regards,
Ashley🚌🧡

A reasonable post TC.

Good post Ashley

Don’t go overboard with praise for the police - they only did what they get paid to do and I am sure many will be on over time - it’s not that hard a job and hopefully our fans were well behaved

To the fans, it wasn’t great, we aren’t great, but we are NOT down - QPR, Reading (when are their 6 points coming off ?) and Cardiff are all on the cliff edge and if we can beat Cardiff (which we must) we are right back in the mix

All you can do is turn up and support

Finally, I thought our neighbours were very very ordinary and if we could have scored earlier we might have made a better fight of it

Whilst our quality was very poor - they weren’t much either

I was very surprised to be able to walk straight out at full time. Especially as they'd invested in a mobile metal fence that I bet they wanted to test out.
Yeah I went down 2 minutes into the 4 of injury time and was surprised I was able to walk out they ground and passed the police at the end of the road. Guess they assumed the home fans would be hanging around in the ground to celebrate. Don’t know if they closed the cordon after the final whistle went as I would have been halfway back to the car.

Better organised this time.

Think you had it a lot easier than we did at yours.

Sounds like lessons have been learned regard’s policing.

Glad you were able to get away quickly with no hassle.

Still not a fan of such an early ko.

Much better from police today. No trouble at all from what I saw. See they had the helicopter out. Can’t remember if they did last season?

Also probably helped we were so shit and a lot left before the final whistle
Quite a lot around me left after 51 minutes so were probably back home before the end of the game.

I agree with your summary of today’s policing. I left my (grown up) daughter at home after hearing of last years stories at Deepdale as I didn’t want to risk bringing her with me today. I felt very safe both arriving and leaving the ground.
Also found parking easy and getting back onto the M6 a breeze

Nice sentiments but enjoy the weekend? Absolutely not, it’s a total fuck up of a weekend & all I can picture is Potts scoring and the nobber players celebrating in front of us

Very weird policing…… despite it being one of the biggest police operations of the year 20 of us walked from the pub by the train station to the ground without seeing one police officer until the bus station 200 yards before Deepdale 🤔🤔🤔

All Lancs cops on a cancelled Rest Day today as they are for most of the derby days. I took Friday off months ago to protect todays fixture. Give them a bit of credit.

Shockingly disappointed with the performance today. We are down playing like that. We’d struggle in L1 with this starting team. Nothing will change v Cardiff or Wigan. Very much doubt we’ll pick up 6 points from those.
