Just been through it again and I forgot how good it was to read.
I just wish I hadn't gone to the game now and stayed at home watching it while reading this live

The complete opposite. The Cardiff fans were brilliant and very magnanimous in defeat. They were also chatting with Pool fans on the way towards Wembley way.

If I'm truthful I thought we had about a 20% chance of winning that game. So when you expect to lose, but win, it makes winning even better. What a natural high.

I actually felt sorry for the Preston fans.

Not the ones we met after the game, they were pissed up and mouthy. I heard they were a few scuffles in the coach park also.

I thought the Cardiff fans were miles better than West Ham a couple of years later, even though Cardiff lost and West Ham won! That said, using West Ham fans as a reference is an exceptionally low bar.

I had a bad experience after the game. I dropped my phone and went back for it. I got cornered by two Cardiff fans
Fortunately my cousin came back and when it was even numbers they backed down and did one
Had he not come back I could have got a kicking
Other than that the majority of Cardiff fans we met were gracious and magnanimous

I remember when a nobber came in work the following Monday and he was virtually booing, throwing stuff around and just saying "that's it, football is over" it was brilliant. Housley his name is, proper bummers alley brigade type.

Sadly, the millions we got were loaned out to the owner's failing connected businesses instead of being invested in the football club and the inevitable followed. Things could have been so different.

Once in a lifetime that really wasn't it as doubt we'll be back up there again unless we get some big investment and even then it'd be great but not quite the same.
