PNE rivalry

Reading some of the posts on other threads confuses me every time this fixture comes up. Which would you rather have a fan that supports the town he was born in, or the glory chasing fan that chooses to 'support' a big six club? For me PNE fans are only doing what we do in supporting BFC. Fair play to them as they, like us, are proper football fans.

Don't get me wrong, the banter is good fun. but some of it is about as funny as Frankie Boyle.

Living in and around Preston, I always find the banter good fun. The ones who follow the club properly have similar gripes about investment, players, the manager, fellow supporters etc etc. Agree, would rather them support their home club than a top 6 one. It's a shame they'll never see their club in the Premier league or at the very pinnacle of it as we did for a few hours after the Wigan game 👍 😄
 
The thing is.......It looks like more football fans in Preston follow the 'Big Six' than follow PNE..... 🤔

And I think Frankie Boyle is very funny....

You don't choose your football team. It chooses you.
I just feel privileged and fortunate to be a Blackpool fan, and pity all the rest. With respect for those who support their local non-big6 club.

I’ve got mates that support Preston. They’re good lads. For 90 minutes I ** hate them, but when the games over they’re sound again.

It’s football at the end of the day. Think the last 18-20 months has shown us there’s more to life than footy

I can see you're a bit of a lover of all things Preston Athers.... Over there licking their arses on PKE online etc...

I'm afraid it's not for me... I'm more picky about my mates👎
 
So to date it sounds like the love for Frankie Boyle is greater than the hatred of Preston. I have to say I think he crosses the line and comes across as revolting for the sake of it. To each their own.
