policing and crowd control at Blackpool matches inside and outside the ground

It's fair to say that there may be some Blackpool fans who go to matches or watch every game live on TV who may have or had a certain amount of experience in dealing with disorder at football matches or other large scale public order incidents all over the country in current or previous lives......

The issues that the club are facing at every game occur at every match and are easily prevented.

Missiles being thrown /confronting opposition players on the pitch from the north stand - keep the walkway at the bottom of the north stand clear at all times. Do not allow anyone to stand there or against the pitch side barrier. This is an emergency access route and should be kept clear at all times.

Deploy your stewards inside this area facing the crowd at all times ensuring that this is carried out - if like last night you deploy them from the north east corner after any incidents have taken place its too late.

Deploy clearly identified evidence gatherers with video cameras - either the police or security staff - in that area facing the crowd to identify any one who throws any missile towards the pitch and take immediate and positive action against anyone committing an offence. This is a deterrent and hopefully anyone who is stupid enough to do this will soon get the message.

Post match - identify potential flash points have a clear route and strategy for home and way fans leaving the stadium and deploy your resources to cover these areas prior to the match ending - not once any trouble has already started as you are now behind the ball and having to pay catch up.

We have a great club with owners who are doing everything they can to give us our club back, along with the best supporters in the land - don't let anyone spoil it by poor performance, planning or behaviour

Can’t argue with that and unless the club and police together get a grip, we could well face large fine, or even a points deduction. Not only that, someone could get injured.

The last thing we need is reputational damage.

These cockwombles who are throwing stuff need a good kicking.
They are ruining the feel-good factor, they embarrass themselves and the club and the club will, I fear, be fined heavily this time after the wrap on the knuckles after the Barnsley game.....

Plus they are ** idiots.

The stewards may as well be non-existant in the North, stealing a wage off the club

The Police are proving week in week out this season that they must have forgot how to police football matches properly over the pandemic

The fact police has capitalised there makes it look as though I'm insinuating The Police, famous rock band from the 1980s, are shambolically handling the policing of football matches at Bloomfield Road. A standard standard I would never hold Sting and the boys to

I am in fact referring to the police force, apologies for any confusion

Maybe the police were on a sting, rather than in the north
