Pool Break Building

The previous international break brought about an upturn in Pool's fortunes after a stuttering start.

The latecomers in the transfer window and the opportunity to embed tactics and increase fitness after a disrupted pre season certainly paid dividends.

I must admit at the outset of the season I wasn't looking forward to these stop start spells of action however on the flip side it has bought Pool some much needed time to adjust and polish on all fronts which in hindsight has been a godsend.

I can only imagine this time has been no different and will have allowed further tweaks as well as affording the likes of Moore and Yates etc to get up to speed and others with niggles to fully recuperate.

Pool can return tomorrow in good shape despite the absentees in what will be a tough game with Forest on the up.

That's probably the true measure of how far we have progressed in that Pool getting a result is expected and the comfort of having had 2 weeks to prepare only adds to the possibility of obtaining one.

During the absence of Maxwell and Lavery others will emerge and will see it as an opportunity to secure a position.

This has been the way for the last year or so and these early season breaks only enhance the chance of Pool continuing on an upward trajectory.

Enjoy the game.

I agree with a lot of your post but I definitely don't expect a positive result at Forest, it wouldn't surprise me, but I don’t expect it.
