No not that one! The Brighton manager. Not yet finalised though.
Spot on, and unfortunately it is filtering down the leagues, especially in the Championship with parachute payments for the "big" clubs. The total and irreversible rule of commerce in professional football. What a big club demands, a big club gets. Why do we even bother to continue with this farce? The rule is that big clubs must take all and the small clubs simply exist to put a sheen of legitimacy on the idea that there's a sports competition in place.
It’s only like a CEO of a small company going to a bigger one.The total and irreversible rule of commerce in professional football. What a big club demands, a big club gets. That doesn't address my point. On the pitch there is supposed to be the idea that every team has a sporting chance. If Potter has been doing wonders at Brighton then he should continue to see how well he can do. That's sport. It’s only like a CEO of a small company going to a bigger one.
More money, more responsibility etc.
Why should he stay at Brighton if he is offered an opportunity he wants to do??That doesn't address my point. On the pitch there is supposed to be the idea that every team has a sporting chance. As usual you look at things from an individualistic perspective: why shouldn't the individual do what he wants? My perspective is to look at professional football in a sporting context and to call out the farcical pretence of any competition when the big boys can do what they want, with as much money as they want - even if they are mired in debt. But then, your libertarian market philosophy always results in the rule of the giants. Sporting chance never comes into it.Why should he stay at Brighton if he is offered an opportunity he wants to do??
….or do you not believe in freedom???
In your logic he would never have joined Brighton in the first place as he would have to stay where he was and keep plugging away there!!
How stupid is that!!!!
Good move for Potter, hope Chelsea give him the time he’s had at his previous clubs. Fancied him for the England job after Southgate - would suggest that less likely now. Is England job a downgrade from Chelsea if he’s having success there? Would imagine so
Reminds me of the time Appleton wound him up....
No, your post about him staying there for whatever reason is absolute rubbish. As usual you look at things from an individualistic perspective: why shouldn't the individual do what he wants? It would be great though wouldn't it. Chelsea's best players finding out they're getting £90 a week off-season.No not that one! The Brighton manager. Not yet finalised though.

Not to mention having to stir their own porridge in a wheelie bin with a corner flag or whatever it was?
Sorry One, you've taken a completely different path on this one.No, your post about him staying there for whatever reason is absolute rubbish.
If people were not allowed to move, he would never have been allowed to join Brighton for the same reason you say he shouldn’t join Chelsea.
Madness at its finest
Yes - it’s called reality!Sorry One, you've taken a completely different path on this one.
Have to agree with that. Also creates an opportunity for someone at Brighton.
I believe we should drag the economy and people up rather than dragging everyone down.
It's not that he left...Yet some were slagging Quitchly off for bettering his wages and moving to a bigger club
It's not that he left...
... It's that he didn't even say goodbye!!
