Pre-match music curse

The music used to motivate and inspire the crowd pre-match, is maybe doing the opposite with the team. The playing of Tenpole Tudor etc, music that is 40 years old can hardly inspire or motivate footballers today. Imagine the Sam Ellis team of the '80s getting inspired by Glenn Miller. There is a danger that with an empty stadium the repeated playing of the same outdated music is creating a Pavlov effect upon the team, and reminding the players of their previous home performances on a sub-conscious level. Maybe now is the time to change the music, and turn home matches into wins.

I doubt that particular song is having an adverse effect on the teams performance, but personally as someone who likes to think they are tolerant, that song is absolutely terrible . Who on earth had chosen that ?

I used to think "Right Here Right Now" by Fatboy Slim built up the excitement.
Even that may be too old for these young whippersnappers. I have no idea what they listen to. Rap, maybe?

Simon Sadler picked the playlist. It was in the paper a couple of weeks ago.
