Premier League contributions to the EFL.

I thought if agreement couldn't be reached between the Premiership and the EFL, then an independent regulator was to be appointed?
 
The premier league is a ** con. It's just division 1 with a new name.

Bunch of pure nonces poncing off the cultural significance of the game as a whole and flogging that globally whilst acting like they've invented a new sport.

The only difference is that it's Richard Keys not Elton Welsby.

How the latest development is received by government remains to be seen. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has already warned of intervention should agreement remain elusive.
 
Fuck the Premier League.

The sooner the top 6 fuck off to start their own Super League the better. Presumably Netflix are already circling to make a 20-episode 'sports entertainment' documentary about the soap-opera lives of the 'stars' (and probably wives and girlfriends, chuck in a few 'boardroom characters' too).

All to sell ** Spurs shirts to fans in New York and Beijing or whatever, and line the pockets of the whichever regime needs a good soapy sportswash. Makes me sick.
 
Could never see many teams voting for this deal anyway especially the yo-yo clubs or those always in the bottom half.

Getting rid of parachute payments would be the best thing about this deal, it's ridiculous that nearly every season in the Championship teams that are in receipt of this tend to be the promoted ones.
Leicester,Leeds & Southampton currently in the top 4 say's it all.

I think the argument is however big a sum you give to EFL clubs, the extra will just go on player wages. That's what will happen.
 
peter ridsdale was on lancs. apart from being northend chairman he does sit on the efl board. sounded pretty p...d off. the chair of the culture and sports committte said that if no deal is forthcoming one WOULD be imposed. The PL will hold out as long as they can.. w....rs
