Preston concede a goal

Funny how energy can shift, shocking deadline day and when you don't score many, always liable to be in the shit if you go behind.

Probably been flukey in the games before, I saw Coventry hit the bar twice and come close.

Bad deadline day, now another game at home with no goals and now a first goal conceded, plus go on to lose against a side right down there.

Scuffles in the stands.

Oh dear oh dear.

A couple more days like this and the dirty bedsheets will be out with risdale out on again, if not on the way already.

They had a much worse summer transfer window than we did. It's just that a couple of our best loan signings got injured almost immediately.

I said this at the time, but slashing the ticket prices to me is a massive indication that the board isn't confident that the team will be sufficiently competitive or engaging enough to bring in the fans. The Oystons did it and we struggled badly with our highest avg crowd outside the Prem. They'll find it difficult to raise them again without losing fans in their droves now they they've sampled what's on offer.

We have such bad luck with injuries, if they were to lose a few key players and a few things go against them in games, be interesting to see how they cope.

Slashing the price was about showing prospective owners that there are people out there who want to watch them. The current owners won't be the ones worrying about the financial shortfall the funding model gives them.

The new owners will be forced to keep the price low or lose fans in droves.

Ditto transfers. Why spend on new signings if you're leaving?

Yep, and if they still can't find a new owner then they're going to have a problem.

"Ryan Lowe needs to leave this club"
"Hemmings family - time to go"
"Peter Ridsdale out"

Three of the first six threads of PNE online. Surely their 12k season tickets holders haven't lost the 'buzz' already?

I mean, 4000 of them are free season tickets and the rest are adults posing as U11s.
