Prestons Premier League dream?

Laid out beautifully by one of their fans here.

They just need those new owners willing to throw away even more millions to get the Premier League, then the expansion to a 45k stadium can happen and those 36k die hard nobbers can finally all attend.

Now, here's the plan. It just needs that initial 45 million investment and the dream is on, the champions league would of course be a real boost too. (Not sure he's nailed the club valuation either...)

If only they didn't have owners 'taking out all the money'... taking those 16m losses out each season is poor tbh...

Do none of these people understand the league's FFP rules, they're already knocking on the door of breaking the rules, what this muppet's asking for is that the club throw them out the window entirely and hope the EFL doesn't notice.

How did that work out for Reading/Derby?

Brilliant what Luton & Brighton have done. Think it even eclipses our achievement. It’s very rare though and fans shouldn’t expect it, just because of what a small minority achieve.

Preston will be lucky to even maintain their Championship status in a post Trevor Hemmings world.

They could get new owners , spend money and end up further away from it than they are now.

Brighton get over 30,000 in the ground and are in a wealthy area of Sussex. It's not that remarkable.

No let's be fair to Martyn. I'm sure there's thousands of us out there who have pondered themselves to a standstill over this. Sleepless nights.

There's the masterplan in b&w folks. Ponder no more, sleep well in the knowledge that the Premiership's only missing ingredient finally has the blueprint to take its rightful place among football's elite. So that 62 years of waiting to join something that's only existed for 33 will be over. Possibly the Lightning Seeds could adapt something in their honour?

In the, obviously short, meantime, just carry on laughing.

Apparently, all you need to do is build a premier league ground and hey presto you deserve and ought to be in the premier league. What a complete weapon.

So Nobbers last time in the top flight was when life was in Black and White, and players still had a wage cap?

I will always confess that PNE's ground is very practical (even if it's not impressive - I found it plain dull) - anyone remember if they did the whole thing at once or was it done in stages?

Seems to be increasing alarm from some on twitter about the lack of announcements on ST sales.

I did have a quick look on pne online and it was said they'd already passed 9-10k but I can't find where that info came from.

That guy does have a point. Last season they were announcing every little milestone. 8000, 8500 etc.

This year not one figure put out. I can see why they might not do the lower ones again but surely passing 10k would be announced.... unless they're doing some weird secretive marketing this time and waiting to pass last years number, but it's not generating a buzz for fans seeing the sales go up, which worked well last time for them, so you'd expect it again somewhat...

What does the OP mean, Preston will get back to the Premier League.
To get back, you need to have been there before!

The bit they don’t get for me is there over achievement. I don’t think they were anywhere near the standard of where they finished. They could very easily be at the bottom end yet they complain all the time.

In stages. The Invincibles (sic) Stand isn't quite finished after a decade.

Nah sadly for you it isn't me, the only thing I have in common with that biffer is we support the same club. Every team has its idiots as you should well know.
You know how it is on your site, one nutters rantings become the apparent opinion of our whole fanbase.
