Prince Andrew - Again

Interestingly, I recall Lost- Seasider’s face saving attempt to claim that Prince Andrew had merely made a small donation to charidy in order to settle the case with VG.

I note on Breakfast TV this morning that the settlement figure was, in fact £12M plus a donation to charidy…That’s a substantial sum to pay in order to buy your way out of facing justice and shows limited faith in his own case.

Anyway… The Arch-Bishop seems to be saying it’s time to forgive Andrew and let things lie…

Should we let him off the hook and bring the entitled tosspot back into public life?

I’m on the fence 🤔

No, he should scurry off and keep himself out of the public eye, along with Harry and his Mrs.

The queen must have lent on Welby to try this tack, it seems like a remarkable thing for a bishop to put out there. I guess she is thinking about what will happen to PA when she departs - all alone in the world and with no supporters. However, in today's world, I suspect that there is no way back into public life for Andrew, and this just makes the church look even more out of touch. A real tool of the established order.
In general I agree with Welby about forgiveness, it's just that this case seems like a rather strange place to start. I mean what is he saying, that we should forgive all sex traffickers?

In fairness the church has a long history of selling salvation to the highest bidder. So I suppose this is nothing new 👍

The 'Royal' Sponger deserves all he gets. Can't stand him, his brood or that slapper Fergie.

Welby does not echo public opinion and should restrict his musings to that concerning his Faith.

Whatever happens, PA was in the wrong.

The whole case has a rancid odour about it. Thought it was a smart move by VG to include the charity donation headline, even though we know most of the payout will be going her way and in that respect it feels like another cash grab after the half million she received for earlier non-disclosure agreement.

The Arch-Bishop should keep his nose out of this, and politics for that matter. The church has a long history of literally abusing its position of power and trust, so shouldn’t be adding fuel to the fire. Perhaps he should be concentrating on getting his own house (of God) in order.

Holy Moley Keir Starmer should replace Elton Welsby as Archbishop of Camberwick and allow beer drinking during services.🍺😜

As someone far more intelligent than I said, he paid 12m to someone he's never met for something he never did.
The further the sponging "Royal" is kept from the public eye the better,
and of course there's nothing to forgive, as he didn't do anything.

Andrew has used his power, influence & money to cover up for his misdemeanours, why else would you pay somebody off. I'm not a fan of the monarchy barring the Queen, & I can't really justify my thinking about her TBH, but I guess she's always been around during my lifetime, it will probably continue in some shape or form. If Andrew is forgiven do we do the same for Gary Glitter, Stuart Hall & Rolf Harris to name but a few. He'd be well advised to disappear.

The nonce should be stripped of all privileges and booted out of the country back to Germany.

As they say, bad publicity is better than no publicity. Look, over recent years the Romans have had all the media coverage given their attitude to little boy fiddling, baby burying, orphan torture, slave labour laundries and kiddy deportations. Bet the old Archbishop was looking for a way to be relevant in the face of overwhelming competition from the other side.

No he's a disgrace.

No. You can forgive a person without affording them any of the rights or luxuries they had before.
If we have to be ‘Christian’ and forgive that’s a personal choice , but I wouldn’t resurrect his privileges and allow him to represent us as a state again. Also, it isn’t our place to offer forgiveness, that belongs to the victims.

I'm a Royalist but this guy shouldn't be anywhere near welcome back into the public life with any sort of privileges. If he had any sort of conscience which I doubt he should live out the rest of his life somewhere remote .and well out of the spotlight. No doubt when the Queen sadly passes on, he'll turn out in his full military regalia. He's brought absolute shame on the monarchy.

He was a puppet for Epstein along with Maxwell.
You can see from one of the pictures that PA idolised JE because he had money and power.

Is the Archbishop of Canterbury not allowed to be a Christian? He's said what I expect from the leader of the Anglican Church. Has Andrew done bad things, yes. Should he be forgiven...a Christian would say yes.

Im a Christian, and I say no!

I hate any child botherer getting away with anything, especially due to religion or wealth.

The mans been an egoistic freeloader all his life, expecting the 'plebs' to finance his lifestyle.

a total irrelevance.

Spot on…we’ll put….

I agree with all of that but I still say that Christians would find it in themselves to forgive. That does not mean that he should be allowed freedom of movement to carry doing what he did. I think Christians belive in retribution but with forgiveness.

I know he’s not…

But just imagine if Andrew was next in line to the throne once Charles popped his clogs.

Blimey!!!!

Makes you think doesn’t it.

So the Church is now condoning Pedophiles, sex grooming/trafficking?

That is a question. Look, there's even a question mark.
Perhaps I shouldn’t have used ? But it’s a Statement from me.
Only you have answered it so it’s telling me other people didn’t think it was a question.

Phew. I’m just relieved it’s not Andrew who is next in line for the throne.

Happily it’s Charles Wokey. Followed by that Nice Wills. Followed by Little George.

Now some might say it’s just an accident of birth that we aren’t looking at King Andrew and Queen Fergie. Or even!!! King Harry and Queen Meghan!!!

But I can see a Divine Finger at work ensuring that everything is hunky dory.

But you can see how the Wars of the Roses started!!!

Hurrah!!! I’m from Lancashire. So I want a Welsh King 🤴 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

You’re absolutely right… The Anglican Church (amongst other Christian organisations) has a history of defending sexual predators

Unfortunately the non-sweaty nonce remains Madge's favourite. Doesn't say a lot for her opinion of old Charlie boy does it? Of course the Greek never liked his eldest either, he clearly thought he was a softie, not liking Gordonstoun and all that cold showers stuff.
Still, I'm sure it will be a fine old family occasion over the weekend.

Toot toot

On the upside (apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but news is slow to reach the badlands of Warbreck....! )

Anyway, the upside of the 'Bish' hinting at Andrew (formerly known as Prince), making amends with Her Maj, in a bid to worm his way back in is that the track "Prince Andrew is a Sweaty N***e" is steadily climbing the uk music charts....!

It's a catchy number...
