5 years ago the Oyst*ns left, we were sitting 8th in league one. 5 years on were 8th in league one.

Thats Simon Sadlers 'Progress'

4 and half years ago when Simon bought the club, we were all delighted to have a local lad in charge of the club.
(Well truth is probably more, we were all delighted to finally see the back of the Oystains!)

So the club is now in safe hands and maybe we should just be grateful for that? (dont know, depends what you think our ambitions should be?)
I reckon a return to the Championship is our maximum limit.
I'm sure he said he'd never overspend to put the club in trouble (or words like that) so we know he's never going to be spending premier league type money chasing the dream as other owners might have recklessly done.

Overall I'm happy to have Simon as our chairman. (even if I did lose a lot of respect for him after "that" interview announcing he was bringing Critchley back!).

IF....and when the new East stand and or training ground start being built, then you'd have to say that's great progress for the club and we'll not be having threads like this one.

Don’t forget the club is also loaded with millions in debt that it never had under the Oystons. What we need is confidence in Sadler moving forward and for that we need to see leadership.

What about the £29 million loaned to other Oyston companies for starters? That money went out of the club never to be seen again. House of Roma anyone? Possibly the most stupid post I've ever read on here, and believe me, that's a lot.

Uh huh time will tell. Premier league money was theirs to do as they wished and there was a woolly mammoth on sale. The club accruing debt is a bad thing whether you like it or not.

No, and I hope that this gets a good response to demonstrate to Simon that he has our support. Things are far from perfect at present, so it needs unity and some strong direction at the top to address this. Fans are right to be unhappy, but that does not mean we want a change of owner.

I’m just glad the O’s don’t own the club through Covid. At least Sadler has put some money in, I don’t think it’s fair to compare him with the Oystons just yet ffs.

We are coming back from years of abuse and unfortunately it’s going to take time. Same with training ground, east stand etc.

What have this people the club have blocked supposedly said?

Is it just about league progression? If it is then the Oystons took us to the promised land, but thank god they long gone. Has this owner put millions into the club in the few years he has been in charge, or is he making profit. I don’t know the figures. I guess we are not self supporting. I guess that Sadler is not in the financial bracket of the Coates or Hemings families.

He's still learning on the job. He needs to learn to not take trolls on twitter too seriously and he needs to stay well away from the manager appointment process.

But we are a long way away from wanting him to sell up surely? I do think he needs to improve communications and relations with the supporters but we need to give him a break ffs!

“Gotten”? There are many forms to inject capital and they’re not like the Glazers
Walk like a duck, look like a duck and sound like a duck but not a duck eh? Giving a club debt with as you’ve correctly pointed out no tangible assets is not injecting capital or in the best interests of the club.

Premier League money was theirs to do as they wished ?

Not according to Judge Marcus Smith .

Do you actually know anything about the history of our football club ?
