It is with much regret that we have decided to cancel the 50th Anniversary Celebrating the Promotion At Preston event that was due to take place on the 9th April

In view of the current situation with the corona virus and the fact that ALL football is now suspended until at least the 4th April , Derek Spence and I think it best if our Promotion At Preston 50th Anniversary celebration on the 9th April be cancelled .. possibly to be rescheduled for a later date when all these health worries are over

I’m really gutted about this, but as I was hoping for in excess of 200 .. maybe 300 or more to come along, many of whom would be in the elderly at risk category I could see a lot of people not wanting to attend and the event would not be the massive success that we would have hoped for

For those of you who have already purchased tickets then you will be able to get your monies refunded from the BFC Ticket Office

Thanks for your understanding and support

Is that the ticket office that’s closed for a month?

Gutted but correct decision made. Glad that it has been delayed not cancelled completely

JC...when the time comes..people will be there.

Going off on a tangent( apparently I’m good at that) I was instructed by my better half to sort through all my junk( we, well she, thinks we are now at a time we should be getting rid of ( so called) unnecessary things) which I started yesterday when I came across my evening gazette articles and photos of that said famous( no fantastic experience) night.

Still brings a tear to my eye as I was one of the lucky ones to be there( my Dad and Brother only just got in before they closed the gates).Having spent the best part of a year stuck on my wall in my Hall of Residence room at Liverpool Uni they are sadly not in the best of nick but I don’t care. One thing for certain they won’t be thrown out whilst I’m still around😉

One man's junk is another's cherished memorabilia.
