Proper wrestling

Dont forget adrian street ha ha
I loved watching it on a saturday afternoon if my memory serves me right
ITV with Kent Walton commentating live from Wolverhampton Town Hall.

Les Kellett injured every week before having a miraculous recovery and winning from nowhere while some granny in the audience distracted Kendo Nagasaki by hitting him over the head with a brolly.

The Royal Brothers, Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and the redoubtable Klondyke Kate. Adrian Street was ace, the way he'd stroke his hair back after a particularly dirty manouvre 😂 🏝️

Great entertainment and much more skillful than people thought. Often used to be part of the entertainment in holiday camps. When we stayed at Butlins at Filey in the late 1960s we saw a few bouts. Women and children would be up there screaming and booing next to the ring when they thought the 'baddie' had taken some salt from a bottle to rub in the eyes of his opponent. Hilarious.

Jim Breaks
Kung Fu
Rollerball Rocco
Bobby Barnes, who used to be half of the ‘Hells Angels’ tag team, with Adrian Street, mentioned above in Mark_GT’s post.

As a youngster never realized it was fixed until I saw Billy 2 Rivers do a flying headbutt which missed his opponent by about 2 feet and the guy still went rolling about the canvass. Oh the joys of innocence

A bit like some players diving and rolling for penalties or free kicks as if they had been poleaxed ;)
