I don't think it is to be honest.

As already said above these aircraft/weapons were delivered well before the 07/10/23 atrocities and If BAE Systems didn’t sell the arms to these countries someone else will usually the French.

These protesters always cease to amaze me how they never take in the facts before protesting same with the stop oil loonies .

As I said earlier a bunch of barmpots and that’s being nice to them.

Would you draw the line at Norrth Korea, or China? BAE have made a lot out of Saudi, their assault on the Yemen has made the Houthi attacks worse.

Philosophically, is the argument that if we don't sell, someone else will, justification to support regimes actions of which we do not approve? And if you do feel it is not, does anyone else have the right to stop you protesting? Is this group of white middle class locals the MOB Rishi wants to stop?
 
Have American or British F-35 jets been used against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip? And how does the reporter know these are Lancashire locals did she take a roll call?

It’s not just about protesting though is it? some of these people are violent thugs.

I still remember all too well the night some of these thugs (4 women) broke into a flight test hangar at Warton in 1996 where no one was working as a Sunday night and decided to take hammer’s to a Hawk and caused £1.5 million pounds worth of damage they even threatened a security guard who was first on the scene with a hammer.

What pissed me off even more was after the trial at Liverpool they were found no guilty of criminal damage even though all 4 admitted it in court which was a fu*king joke.

You try causing £1.5 million pounds worth of damage to someone else’s property and threatening someone with a hammer and see what would happen to you today.

These thugs should have been put away for 2-3 years each and made to pay for the damage caused.

Peaceful protestors as the media makes them out? don’t kid yourself.

So because someone once did something for which they were found not guilty, you want to stop anyone protesting? Why are people and the Government so thin skinned and insecure?

Any comment on the other bit of my post about what is and isn't acceptable. Genuinely interested becase I appreciate it is a very complex issue, and always like to hear different views of the world 👍

I’ve never said I’m against protesting I’m not so long as it’s peaceful what I did say was they are barmpots just like the stop oil lot.

He didn’t actually pull her out of her chair..He was moving her to allow access for the lorry and her attempted resistance caused her to fall over.
What do you want him to do? Leave her in the middle of the road?
If she ((or the gob shite who was talking in the background) didn’t like being moved on by the police then why the fcuk did they go there in the first place.
If the police let these morons demonstrate and take no action, it’s wrong and if they try to shift them then that is also wrong.

Well I’m glad there weren’t all these barrack room lawyers around when we were protesting outside the Os residences, places of business etc …. and the EFL.

As a loony leftie and while supporting the cause of the demonstration I believe its my duty to point out that jets are ** ace and still make me feel like a ten year old visiting my Dad for lunch at Warton.

Shame there's no Vulcans flying anymore, a low level pass spooling up those Olympus would have sorted them out.

She was committing a road traffic offence by blocking the road wheel chair or no wheel chair.

Jaffa, let's calm down and look at what works. The protesters would have been worked up. The Police - being professional - could have taken the heat out of the situation and done the calm thing. No-one is defending riotous behaviour. The protest having been made, the Police could have dealt with it better. It wasn't a riot. It was a small event.

Remember seeing it at the Windemere airshow. We were up on Biskey Howe, saw it come down across Kirkstone, came quietly down the lake low, then turned over Bowness climbing heading west and lit up the engines. Absolutely f in awesome

The police are doing a job shame they don’t treat the stop oil protestors in the same way.

If the same thing happened in an attack on the UK i'd fully support us doing exactly the same as Israel and much more.

I have no sympathy for these people's POV, they are plain wrong.

As I've nothing to add to what's already been posted, I'll deviate & comment on the jets. Whilst I hate the human race in many ways for still murdering each other in the name of something. Got to say detaching myself from the primary purpose of fighter & bomber jets the sheer sense of power when these birds opened up on a low level flypast (better overhead, until is was banned) is literally awesome & makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. In the days before flying low over crowds was banned, quite often the first you knew of their approach was the roar above you after they had almost sneaked up on you & the ear shattering noise. Fantastic!

When BAE open day for families was at Warton they used to hand out earplugs, bloody loved those days, although you could just sit at the side of Bank Lane for impromptu displays.

I wonder if they still do the wind tunnel alarm followed by the roar of it. Could hear it all through Lytham.

I could bang on about this all day, lots of things in FY8 suspiciously painted yellow, they must have wondered how they went through so much in stores...

And that’s just direct employees and when you add on all those in the supply chain and the local businesses who are totally dependent on BAES the numbers are huge. So yeh lets shut down all the shipyards, RAF bases, manufacturing facilities etc etc and watch whole communities go under, I'm sure all the nutjob despots around the world would be happy with that!
