Quest’s contempt for us?

Just sat down to watch the last two episodes and can’t believe we were 10th in the running order on Saturday and the Reading game hardly got a mention. Colin Murray is a good flag bearer for us but why do the producers clearly not rate us (and this goes back way before this season).

Viewing figures?

Were a smaller club in the Championship. If Leeds and Newcastle go down, god help the rest of us, not just on Quest but also Sky

It used to be a bit frustrating but Tangerines TV gives me so much coverage in not bothered.

I'd quite like to be ignored and be a complete surprise when we go up 🤞

Couldn't give a toss never watch it £1.99 a month for TTV brilliant value get to see extended highlights or the full game. 👍

The higher we move up the sooner we will be on. To be fair Nobbers are near the bottom so thats why we were on later 😉

Also prefer tangerine TV, however Quest does let me see opposition teams in the Championship to get a feel for where we are skill wise and organisationally.

Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield Utd, Cardiff v Swansea, Forest v Derby would all be headlining the show 1st up with extended highlights.
They showed us right at the end as if it was some 0-0 against 2 side mid-lower table sides.

Think that's bad, watch BBC North news on a Monday teatime. Championship clubs, then goals from L1 and L2. Much of the time no mention of us.

Colin Murray does his best but it is about population size.

Remember our Prem season always last on, wankers. On the plus side it keeps us under the radar a little I guess.

The other chap who’s on there occasionally - Ali Maxwell, really rates us as well, has done since last season. Always has good things to say about the club and Critchley.

He co-hosts the “Not the top 20” podcast and I always make sure to tune in, the “Second Tier Pod” seems more popular but the hosts on that seem a bit confused and clueless about us, whereas Ali gets what’s been happening and how well we’ve been doing.

I agree with the o/p - it's actually quite insulting and the majority of viewers wouldn't give a fig about population size - they just want to see the best games and at the moment we're an exciting side to watch.

I don't watch it often but it has appeared to me that they use league position of the two teams as a key factor in deciding the order of the matches. We were 12th going into the game, and Preston were deep down below us.

I'm not sure it actually matters. People feel insulted so easily!

Jobi McAnuff is a terrible pundit. Clearly doesn't know anything about us and his comments are very vague and lack research. I'd be surprised if he's ever watched one of our games or even a replay.

How come Bournemouth get so much coverage on there if it's purely down to population size? Granted us the Nobbers and a few others have obstacles but If we play good football and get into those play offs we'll get covered. Remember when we came down from the Prem sky covered us in 3 live games in the first month. They knew we were good to watch under Ollie and we had been the Nations 2nd favourite team. We are on the way back again.

They are top of the league and that's a big factor.
Yes and fully deserved and as I said we have more obstacles than clubs like Derby to overcome but we along with the other 6 or 7 similar size clubs will get the coverage but obviously more performance related. Carry on winning and improving like we are and our air time will grow. If Lavery carries on knocking those goals in Colin Murray will be hammering on the producers door.

Still an improvement on Kick Off with Elton " me old mate Aldo " Welsby.

Agreed. Anything is better than Granada Tranmere Soccer Night.

To be fair to Colin Murray on Quest, he knows his stuff. He also wrote a brilliant article on us in the Metro newspaper the day before the homecoming game against Southend He's been trying to slip in mentions of Lavery all season, and one of the other pundits (not McAnuff) always has decent things to say about us too.

I don't care if the rest of the country doesn't notice us.
