I was just watching Hibs v Villa (on BBC I Player for those who want to watch), and they asked the question of 5 players who played for Hibs who have won the European Cup, and it got me thinking of a similar question for Blackpool players.

How many players who have played for Blackpool have won the European Cup.

Surely the Wizmeister knows Everton have never won the European Cup.

I thought maybe Gary Ablett but checked and he didn't make his Liverpool debut until 1986 and they didn't win it again after that until Istanbul.

I didn't really want to know just yet but I think I'd have got Best and Bertie and have stuggled with the other two.

I didn't know that Simpson played for Hibs to be honest.

I know Sauzee but were Marseille not disqualified after beating AC Milan in the Champions League final and am I not right in saying that the final that year should really have been contested by AC Milan and the world famous Glasgow Rangers who obtained the most points in the qualifying group within the rules.
