Dubai OK for a stopover.
Too false with huge shopping malls and hardly any locals live there.
Still having celebrations for Day of the dead here in Mexico .

Fabulous set up
Little tip for you.... Hang around first tee until the final group has teed off and you should be able to get a photo of yourself with the tournament trophy and race to dubai trophy
Taxis from the course are a pain.... Use either the free bus to JBR or get an uber

Couldn’t see a free bus mate, just one that took you to a new underground train station that we used to get back. Great day out though, nothing like the Open with the massive crowds and loads of officials trying to be king for a day. Wished Tommy Fleetwood, Rory and Bob McIntyre well and they all responded with thankyous instead of ignoring you or being whisked away by stewardsBeen to to the tour finals a few times

If you still have the chance I would take up the offer mate, it was an excellent day out and the corporate areas didn’t seem massively busy like they are at the Open

Today should be interesting. Just had a public safety warning come up from the police on our phones warning us to stay away from beaches and low lying areas cos of the risk of flooding
