They looked good for about 6 minutes at the start then utterly woeful. Heads visibly went as soon as they were put under any pressure.

A few of their players overplayed injuries to get subbed, they will probably be replaced by reserves next time round

You can only beat what is in front of you but they were truly, truly awful today. We won’t play a worse team all season. And they actually looked better than us at the beginning.

I disagree that Reading were awful considering they had 59% possession, nearly 200 more passes than us and a higher pass accuracy too. For me the kudos needs to go to Critchley playing Dale on the left and CJ on the right was the difference for me. They struggled with both which opened spaces for Super Jordan Rhodes to punish them. I think every Pool fan was expecting a tougher challenge from Reading but our performance levels today would beat most teams in this division in my opinion.

Yeah I wouldn't say they were awful, I'd actually say we did what Wycombe did against us and killed the game and thus thwarted their game plan nice and early - early goals do seem to count in this league.

Tbh yesterday I thought the same as the o/p that they offered very little but then today remembered Grimmy had to make a few saves.

However I was expecting them to be better than they were. I was surprised at their lack of threat .
