Reasons why Critchley is the right man for the job

Of course we moved on , we gave a manager a 4 year contract. It didn't work out for him unfortunately.
The club needs to move forwards not backwards, I don't honestly think getting him back is going to end well for either club or Critchley.
So because we appointed another manager we moved on? What else were we going to do? The contract length clearly was wrong. By moving on we would have put a plan in place and continue to build on the work done over the previous 2 years. On the pitch, it’s back to 2019 as it stands.

A change in management is moving on , A 4 year contract is moving on, no two managers will have the same vision and Sadler obviously believed in Appleton. Was the club supposed to keep looking out of the window waiting for him to come home ? As I said an unsuccessful appointment, Agreed its back to 2019 on the pitch , league one is a much tougher place now.

Would you take back your missus after she left you for another bloke? One in her eyes that was better with more to offer? Critchley and Blackpool were a match made in heaven. And he left it behind, leaving us left to wonder where the loyalty in football has gone. My missus left me back in February, and I wouldn’t have her back, even if she begged & pleaded. Once they leave you behind and think they’re better off without you, that’s when you need to look at your own self worth. We deserve better. Critchley made his bed 12 months ago. He has to lie in it!

Great game. How about would you take a car back if you sold it, and was well compensated, but had the chance to take it back a year later, getting to keep the money you received and basically just have it back. The 2 cars you bought that year might have worked out but didn’t quite cut and you have gotten rid and this is by far a better car. You never expected to see the car again but things have unfolded this way.

Pros

He's far and away a better manager than the chancers we hired afterwards.

Cons

He's a **.

After threads and threads with pages of sh1te from us all, that's a magnificent simplification Lytham.

I understand that Peter Kay is not interested in the job so I guess it's a case of In Critch We Trust.

A good soundbite but the relationship between Critch and Blackpool and that between you and your ex are not the same.

Depends how big his tits are?

It’s like Lytham has said this forum is not a true reflection of the total fan base. Some of the comments don’t really apply. If he comes with SD it looks good IMO.

Those last six matches under him, weren’t the only shite ones, and he continued that downturn at Villa and QPR. No thanks
The last 6 matches that involved a 6-1 win against Birmingham, 2-0 away win at Barnsley and a draw away at play off chasing Luton?

You are then to blame for not doing the homework and buying two shit cars ? Bit like the love story above , plenty more fish in the sea . The car and his wife have probably been thrashed take neither back and go shopping again !!

Fair enough. I wasn’t aware such foresight was available and so simple.

My limited football experience is stuck in the old way of thinking each managerial appointment is a risk and nothing is guaranteed in football. Last season, teams up and down the country made appointments that seemed right from the big sea of fish and all failed but if it’s a simple as you say then just go with that. Can’t wait.

Why do fans constantly peddle the myth about our last 6 games we had our biggest win of the whole season in them.
The only poor ones the last two game which because we where safe was bound to happen.

Absolutely. Its not hard is it? Check the results folks before you make up a load of nonsense that can be fact checked in ten seconds.

Did you watch either of the Oxford Playoff matches, Sheffield United away, Preston at home, Birmingham at home, etc?

So easy to cherry pick a few bad performances from any manager.

Reality is that 95% of the time, the team he picked was organized, hard working and tactically astute.
Sorry but 95% is nonsense if that was the case we would have gone up as Champions

Being hard working, organised and tactically astute does not mean you will always beat sides with 5 to 10 times your budget. Phil. We did beat some though.

For someone so outspoken you need a lot of simple obvious stuff explaining to you, it has to be said.

I know that but I'm not having that 95% stat I've watched loads of games under Critchley where we weren't tactically astute or organised

I know you don't get to many games so maybe listening to Chissy clouds your judgement a little

We don't need a big fish , we are league one now and the bait we have won't catch a "big un" !! We do have a good little fish willing to make the jump into management and that's a risk worth taking.

I watch the games. Weve done this. Behave.

We know what clouds your judgement.

Fuck off Phil. Is that the best you can do? I guess it us.
You haven't even tried to debate answer any of the key points on this thread

Just Critchley did well for us so should have him back

It's ** lazy

The main point on this thread isn't about a single person it's about a plan of how the club moves forward with a proper vision and structure

So yeah you carry-on with the Critchley love in but there is more to it than that as several people have pointed out

I have answered gbe key points. And i dont want Critchley back.

So you're either not reading stuff or just making shit up as usual. Or just hard of thinking. Or all three.

I get people having reservations about Critchley because of the way he left. I can understand if some aren't enamoured with his style of play but anyone questioning how good he was in terms of results are wide of the mark. To win promotion in the style we did and retain our Championship status with relative ease is a testament to this.

He knows how to save his substitutions till after 70 minutes.
He will discuss everything in depth with Garrity his wingman, but unfortunately those discussions never reach the players.
He will sign multiple players on long contracts who fill only 1 position and then not play some and not fully understand how many players he is allowed to have in his squad, and want more.
He will re introduce his fist pumping and badge tapping to get the fans onside.
He will be happy to restrict the opposition to only a few chances, by defensive tactics and then bemoan our inability to score from the one half chance that falls our way.
I think that about covers it

Why don't you want him back now you did yesterday?

Maybe you have now re read the threads and agree with me, but are too pig headed to say

I've not wanted him back ever. Show me where i said i did. Ive repeatedly called for Dobbie to get the job

Its hard work with you Phil. I think we all know who the pig headed one is. And you seem ti struggle to follow stuff and understand what people are saying. I'd rather debate with rational reasonable people tbh.

Jesus , when will people learn . Appointing previous management doesn’t work for us, never has ! At this point the last thing we need is a divided fan base . Unless we are saying Critchley is the only decent manager in the world for L1 level, let’s please move on . He did ok , he f@cked us off showing a complete lack of class , we move on to fresh targets who have a point to prove, someone who appreciates what we have to offer . Lazy is the word that would best describe his appointment.
