Recommendations for gardener

What is it with artificial grass on the Fylde Coast?? I was looking at properties to buy a couple of months ago (Now put back 12 months) and I was staggered by how many people have it there. It's ** disgusting, naff, horrible, don't do it under any circumstances.

When I do eventually move there I will be continuing my garden business in the Fylde, and I hope that I will be ripping out anyone who has it!!

Why don't you have a gravel garden with lots of nice coastal plants etc., be miles cheaper and would look great. I'm doing one here in a couple of weeks. ** artificial grass!!!!!!

Why artificial grass?
9 x 5 isn't a big area and would only take minutes to mow.
And far more beneficial to the local wildlife 👍🏻
Used to have a fantastic garden….before kids and now they’ve absolutely trashed it. They play football….a lot! And I personally like the idea in winter that we can still play outside rather than in a mud bath. I do agree that it doesn’t look great and I prefer grass but it’s just not working for us

Well when you have two big dogs churning up the grass then traipsing through the house leaving muddy paws everywhere you ain’t left with much option! The gravel doesn’t work for us so artificial it is and tbh looks great - not cheap but that was our choice - looking at it now through the patio and you wouldn’t even know it wasn’t grass..

I’ve got the artificial grass and made sure I spent a good wedge getting the most realistic looking. That was 10 years ago and it still looks great now.

I battled with a lawn for 6 years. Bought all the kit to tend it. Spent fortunes on treatments but I’m surrounded by farmers fields and they won the battle - the seed spreading, Range Rover driving gits.

So glad I got it done. I use the time saved to do more enjoyable things.

Greentouch on Facebook. Great lads and still well-priced. Might have to wait as they are usually booked ahead but worth asking.

I have 4 dogs and if you saw my garden you would never employ me, but see my clients gardens and you would.

Even with kids and dogs I wouldn’t have artificial grass, just a personal thing but I hate it. The thing is round here, unless you have a new build the gardens are massive so the kids have space for a play area and you have room for a nice garden too. The Fylde has always had small gardens compared to other parts of the country I’ve lived in.
