Reece James

Yeah was the one who got me nervous when the team sheet came out. Hes defo a fourth choice left back for me
 
What did he get booked for? Didn’t think there was anything in it. He played ok and his delivery was decent but always to the back post where where was no one attacking it. Least he can dig a cross out.
 
I thought James was quite poor today to be honest. I felt he was shaky not solid. He looked to be playing with nerves. I think his best game was at right back vs Millwall away when he came on after Connolly got sent off.

We see games differently I guess.
 
Wel I've read all the adverse comments on here. All I'll say in return is that he's come in without a lot of first team experience under his belt and done a really solid job. Playing behind a midfielder who doesn't add much in the way of defensive cover. Result - we have a win and a clean sheet. I was also a bit concerned before kick off today, but well done Reece James.

That said he did ok today
His best game was Reading away not today
 
Shirt-pull was an obvious booking, again as a result of the lack of strength/physicality that holds him back at this level. Stood up
Manfully late on, but still looks a bit short. Better off at a mid-table L1 side with aspirations to do better, I think?
