Clueless normally works both ways.Think he was just absolutely ** clueless rather than bent.
Yes they were fair but Sheffield were kicking lumps out of our lads with no redress. The Ekpiteta and Thompson decisions were fair, but if he was being consistent Sheffield United would have been down a man too.
The 8 minutes was shocking as was the missed foul on Maxwell for their equalizer.
Robbed of 2 points.
Got to appeal Laverys, someone said you can't as its after the game, surely you can as you cant just randomly send people off and it stand. Both reds were right.
However, he let them go on a 5 minute snapping trip and lost control,
He missed a clear foul on Marv and then gave them a corner which was our goal kick.
The penalty??! If that’s a penalty you’re looking at giving 20 plus pens a game
Then you’ve got the 8 minutes injury time.
Then a clear as day foul on Maxwell for their goal that’s given every single time.
Blatant.
Then you’ve got the absolute nonsense at the end, Lavery thrown to the floor for a red
Totally out of his depth and interestingly born in Lancashire, anywhere idea where anyone?!
But guess what??
We’ll get a hefty fine, he’ll get away with it Scot free.
Disgraceful useless **.

Got to agree with all the above comments.
He also missed a blatant hand ball by Connelly which should have been a penalty.
Thing is, no matter how much we complain it won’t change the result.
On a positive I thought we totally outplayed them and made them look like a lower division outfit.
2nd yellow for Thompson was very harsh considering his previous leniency towards SU players.I think at least two SU players should have got straight reds. The stamp tackle on Patino and the potential leg breaker by their right-back on Jerry by the by-line. They were tackles born out of frustration, premeditated and the dangerous nature of them is why they should have gone. No complaints with big Marv going but I'm not sure about the Thompson one. Did he book any SU player in the melee? Then the penalty decision. The the 8 minutes added on time. Then the four (?) consecutive corner,s during which Williams got kicked in the head, Maxwell got blatantly fouled at least once and I thought two of them should have been goal kicks. In summary, the worst set of officials I've ever seen. More incompetent than ThickLizzy!
Hope he doesn't see this. He'll order them all back on for a penalty.Got to agree with all the above comments.

I would love it if he did…… even with the shitty consequencesThere's no investigation going to happen though, the referees are above criticism, after a show like that it'll be the manager under investigation if he tells the truth.
What about in the 1st half a Sheffield United player pushed our man in the back and into touch and they gave a throw in to them and it was right in front of the linesman, the blind fecker! Both reds were right.

Yep that was on Lavery. What about in the 1st half a Sheffield United player pushed our man in the back and into touch and they gave a throw in to them and it was right in front of the linesman, the blind fecker!
Lee Mason was a complete incompetent ref and must have gone to the same ref school as the idiot today. I see Mason was on VAR duty today at the Spurs game no wonder VAR is rubbish. The ref today is not fit to ref Sunday league. You have to question why he was determined to let Sheffield Utd get something today. It beggars belief.I think he might have outdone Lee Mason, seriously. Astonishing. Brett was right when he said "If he'd have flipped a coin he'd have got more right".
