Relationship with this team?

I think it’s not only the manager we should be questioning at the moment but actually this team. I feel very little for them which might sound weird but there have been Blackpool teams in the past who I have really identified with and been passionate about.

Maybe Jerry and Patino last season papered over the cracks but bar Dembele I have little attachment to this side in terms of expectation, excitement or even potential.

Anyone else feeling non-plus about this group?

Surprised you say that

There are a few players who have been here a while like Husband especially who we have been on a journey with.Marv and Gabriel two others.

Hamilton for all his frustrations still to this day gets me off my seat when he is on the ball. His pace is exciting when he uses it properly and gets in behind.

Dembele obviously and watching an experienced Rhodes little flicks into space or coming deep for a one two and setting the wide man away is a pleasure to watch.

If any of them left, we wouldn’t feel it. There’s no guaranteed starters and that’s obvious from Critchley dropping them all at some point apart from Grimshaw. I’ll miss Dembele because he’s genuinely exciting, we’ve not had a player make the crowd make that PHWOAR noise so often in a long long time but we know he won’t be here next season

The players have zero confidence. The team formation has absolutely broken any resolve or player form . Unlocking talent is the managers job but seems like Critchley would rather strangle the life and soul out of players that are well capable of better.
I suppose we should count ourselves lucky in these difficult times that we have characters like yourself to lift everyone’s spirits 😂

There are two ways to respond to adversity and challenges in life. You can crumble and whinge or you can rise to the challenge and try to inspire those around you.
Quite agree the sooner we have a manager who can inspire these players the better. It's those lads who have crumbled under his magical tactics.

The sooner we get a fanbase with a backbone, the sooner we might have a platform to enable the success we all crave. Until then we’ll continue to manifest exactly what we deserve.
Speak for yourself , in all honesty i dont get the let's embrace stagnation . Success won't happen pretending.

Correct me if I’m wrong but are you implying that it’s the fans fault for the way we have been underperforming this season, the lack of confidence the players have and the way we set up with no Plan B when the system doesn’t work?

I think a lot of the apathy towards the team and players is down the way they are asked to play. Very little room in the set up for individuality, dynamism and creativity. Dembele is the only one allowed a ‘free role’ as it were and he goes at the end of the season. As such we are left with a functional team which too often doesn’t really function…

So before the season started he accepted a better job to try and further his career. Are you still not over it ?
With triple his wage from someone who'd made barely made sweet FA out of his playing career.
Never mind what he thought my wife would cut my balls off if I'd ever refuse that deal. 😁

You stated he wasn't a quitter just correcting you. Hes done magnificently in furthering his bank balance but his career I'm not so sure. I wasn't really that bothered when he fucked off first time round but this time I'd be grateful.

How can I correct you if you are wrong? You haven’t stated anything

We need a fresh start we have had too much of the same deadwood for too long. Complacency is showing and we need some new hungry players in.
We do not need a full overhaul. Many of players, are ok but we need to employ a few players better than we have, not same or 'may have potential'
We also need leaders

Husband hasn't been rested.

There’s a few of them who I like individually but we are lacking a few leaders.

Their idea of leadership is throwing their hands in the air and complaining to the ref all the time. Norburn and Husband are the worst for it.

I think both the players you mention have slipped into that habit, but it's more about the system they are expected to play. It's ground them down as well as us. I reckon a good, tactically sound motivational manager could get 20-50 percent more out of our squad.

Love Jimmy Husband and his swashbuckling ways, you could hack at his ankles with a sabre and he'd still keep plugging away.

Jordan Gabriel just radiates positivity despite all his injury issues, lot of time for him

Grimmy is actually hilarious, really deadpan, could see him in Coronation Street as someones dosser cousin or something.

I'm struggling after those three, obviously Dembele is a joy to watch at times and has a bright future, but he's not and will likely never be "ours". Affinity for a squad of players though is built through achievement, which has been in short supply over the last 2 seasons.

That last sentence is an absolute lie! 😂
After a promotion season and the way the club was looking to the future at that time, there’s not a single true Blackpool fan who wasn’t bothered about the guy leaving.

I'm guessing you didn't get to many games after the promotion season ? We had a season in the championship which ended in the style of football we are seeing week in week out now .
Last time it was held together with experienced number 2s and that's part of the problem now.
So no it isn't a lie in saying I wasn't bothered, a Championship club is far more attractive to a manager than league 1 , unfortunately we picked Appleton and the rest is downhill I'm afraid.

This exactly.

Be good to have a Manager with one and players that do.

Might just cascade down then.

The lack of backbone in not being bothered to get to Wembley is a good example 👍🏼

That’s a rubbish statement.

I’ve never seen/heard the north stand lads get behind a team so vocally as they did on Tuesday night yet they had to watch a pile of crap on the field yet they never stopped singing.

The away support in general has been excellent this season given the shite that’s constantly dished up on the field.

Yet it’s all the fans fault FFS? 😮🤣

Yep… If football was a singing contest, we’d be up there with the very best. 👍

Read what I said, instead of over-writing it with your usual negative mindset.

Nope your criticising the fan base and you are wrong.

As said previously which you have a habit of ignoring the fans don’t pick the team and turn in dire performances.

Or maybe they do but we just don’t know about it? If that’s that case I apologise but please supply the evidence first.
