Relegation Contenders

I think we can all agree that even with a new Manager that Wigan look stuffed (and maybe shows the pros/cons of getting a new manager!), I think you can then go as high as Birmingham for other contenders (and wouldn't it be lovely if PNE went on a winless run and their fans started with a squeaky bottom!).

So Huddersfield, Rotherham, Cardiff, Bristol City, Stoke and Birmingham.

Effectively a 20 game season starts here and we start between 1-6 points down on others.

That first win has to come soon or that gap will quickly widen taking out some of those teams.
Watford won away at Norwich today - won't be easy but then records are there to be broken.

It’s an incredibly poor league this year. Blackburn are 3rd but absolutely awful. Whoever has a strong window has a huge chance of success or staying up.

Hull have surprised me they look to have been dragged into the mire but now on a good run despite looking ordinary against us.

Agreed, a poor league - even QPR with 6 points from the last 30 sit in 12th place. The top two look like running away with it, any other positions look like anyone's.
Edit to add, Blackburn have lost the same number of games we have, but sit 3rd, crazy.

The bottom 8 teams have won 5 games out of last 40 between them shows how tough it is to get a win in this league.

I think Roherham and Wigan will go, we need Hudders to stay shit or Cardiff to be fecked with the transfer embargo, Bristol City capable of never winning again to.

Interesting that most are only averaging a point or above per game. Had we have just drawn a few of those games when we were losing every week we'd be out of the bottom three. Recent draws have been disappointing but at the end of the season they'll play a big part in deciding who stays up.
