23 million pounds for a reserve team player....
To Sheffield United...
How can a reserve be worth that much ?
Has football gone crazy ?

And they have included a three-year buy-back option plus a 15 per cent sell-on claus... well done liverpool.

No comparison between Brewster and Ibe whatsoever. Brewster was being groomed for the first team, that’s why it’s such a mad price, they genuinely had no intention of selling. Just shrewd enough to know there’s a price for everything.

If I was a premier league manager I would certainly buy him. He is a wonderful prospect, young and has not yet been given a chance on the main stage. As has been said what is that figure in todays market. I think this is a shrewd deal and I think he will be worth a lot more in the very near future.

Liverpool have done great with sales and outgoing fees. Some of the money they have pulled in has been crazy. Over 100m for Coutinho as mentioned on her Ibe & now over 20m for a reserve.
I get what Rupert says but there is no guarantee he will kick on & Liverpool have been smart again with a buy back option.

You wonder if Sheffield Utd had started well, would they have gambled so much money?. Such is the desperation at the bottom of the premier league. I suppose if theres a 40 million pound parachute payment awaiting even if you go down its a gamble worth taking. I
Brewster will have a sell on value but it's amazing how quickly that can drop. Just look at Sean Longstaff. Man Utd were rumoured to be interested at 40 mill plus a year ago. Now Newcastle fans moan when he's in the team and he would be probably well under 10 now.
