Rhodes and Bees

They are getting a nice little partnership going and compliment each other. I thought Chissy was being unfair when he said Rhodes had been anonymous today but still scored. He put in a real shift for me, he was all over the place. The problem for the 2 strikers is the quality of the balls into the box, many hit the first defender, if we could get more players, like Dembele, who can get a good cross in then they will score even more. I thought CJ had a good game today but his crossing was rushed when he had done the hard work, a bit more composure would help.

Good game though and I thought Brizzle were decent same as Northampton were.
 
Agree the crossing needs work and our free kicks have been a sticking point for a long time, bar that one lovely effort from Morgan V Lpool Youth.

Rhodes is just ** ace, isn’t he. Before he scored he did plenty of little things that Chizzy obviously didn’t see. Beesley continues to surprise me.

The problem that Cizzy has with Rhodes is that he's not obvious with how good he is. What I mena by that, is that alot of the really good work he does like dragging defenders out of position to open up space, being a constant nuance in and around the box, just generally keeping the defenders on their toes at all times, gets missed by Chizzy because it's not obvious and it needs to be for him to notice. I watched from home and though he put in a shift and did some good work.

The goal was utter quality too, he made it look like he had 10 minutes to do it, just unbelievable, he is the dog's. Happy Christmas to you too, just had my first Christmas Cocktail and about to make the second.

If there is an orange shortage it is because mrs Hertford has inexplicably bought every orange in the country! Having to store them everywhere, wardrobes, airing cupboard, loft, so if anyone wants any..... £10 each!! 😂

I said I’d take Rhodes off as he wasn’t massively involved in the build up play. One millisecond later I realised I was showing the same level of stupidity as A Tense Grin on a match day thread…..

Rhodes can be asleep for 89 mins but one chance and goal. Hes just lethal.

Haarland has modelled himself on Sir Jordan of Rhodes

Agree, he's really benefitting from Rhodes' class oozing off him, he's picking up the craft and knowhow well. Critchley though is probably managing it well. He has to have Rhodes as no. 1 striker as he's on loan and scoring. Bees is scoring too so he can't drop him, but Joseph is chomping at the bit so he has to give him some game time. His assist today was brilliant, he looked up and slid the ball when he knew it was on.
