Marmite eating used to be Bass bastards

Just bought my 4 tickets (now I'm not a season ticket holder) and it's kinda liberating not having to sit in the same reserved seat for each match

Its going to cost me loads more not having a ST, but I'm not arsed its worth it to be able to pick and choose where I go

STs are for cheap skates anyway aren't they

And you never know you could get fortunate and have me sat/stood next to you, be like a lucky dip

Btw 2 very famous battles in Burton over the years, one defeat and one win for the good guys

Anyway

Looking forward to it and how we set up, got a sneaky feeling it will be 2 up top with Joseph and Lavery with a solid midfield 3

I know Joseph has had a knock but he's been training and Critchley didn't confirm either way if he would play

This lad is going to be good, already scored 13 goals in this league whilst with his previous clubs and still only 21

I like the look of Pennington and Norburn these are just the sort of players we should have signed last season

I honestly think we will have a really good season and I'm expecting top 2

Be nice to start with a win and I think we will, won't always be pretty but Critchley has that glint in his eye again and all the errrrrrrrrs are back in full force when he speaks

Interesting the point about STH being cheapskates. It's one I've made before. Peddling the 'get behind Saddler and the club' mantra yet paying the cheapest possible price instead of buying July 1 (actually I did that, whatever the day was and still got the EB price post deadline, lol) and putting more into the Club.

Mind you, the Club doesn't help itself with it's sheep like approach to pricing. Just to illustrate what I mean, Booths in PLF were, and this is years ago, charging 50p less for beef mince than Booths in FY8. Price for the market.

Spent £60 on tickets today and I will probably do 15 ish home games I reckon

Similar to last season

So my 15 ish games will be £900 ish

My season tickets were about £500 ish

Who's giving more to the club?

Plus I have the added benefit of going in different parts of the ground

Sadly missing tomorrow, but bbq will be on and beer will be flowing as we watch online. Just in the pool chatting to my lad and said top 2 is a realistic aim.

Fingers crossed for a great season. Got to be positive and remember that we wouldn’t have gone down had we had the right manager(s).

How can someone be a cheapskate paying for well overpriced tickets according to some? 😉
 
Great idea...At least you can save yourself a few quid if you are forced to stop going due to a couple of bad results or a fall out with the Manager 😂 👍

Where are you sat today? and are you out after the game or straight home?
 
Completely agree in expecting top two, Pennington and Norburn are genuinely quality signings at this level and I think Joseph & Lavery will do the business as well.

Still a few more to bring in but we have a base now and I don’t understand negativity, nobody has a finished squad early August.
