RIP Benjamin. I am quite saddened by this. Such a lovely guy, and a decent wordsmith.

Very sad, and no big age. He certainly challenged me with some of his stuff, could be spiritual and then angry.

Shows how life can be snuffed out, diagnosed with a brain tumour 8 weeks ago then gone. My uncle is battling one at the minute that came on without warning,. Fine one minute, the next hit with a headache and delirious it seemed like a stroke.

What If - Benjamin Zephaniah

If you can keep your money when Governments about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust your neighbour when they trust not you,
And they be very nosy too;
If you can await the warm delights of summer
Then summer comes and goes with sun not seen
And pay so much for drinking water when you know that it is not clean


Plenty more where that came from , and a nod to Rudyard Kipling.
