RIP Dave Myers

Really sad news , the pair of them always come across as decent blokes and watching his documentary a few months ago Si was a true friend

RIP......bumped into him at the services once when I parked next to a nice looking motorbike.....nice surprise when it was his and had a little chat with him. Quiet and lovely guy. My missus must have every one of their books!

Yup, gutted too, love watching the 2 of them, really likeable blokes and their books are great. He really didn't look well but great he had one last Hurrah with his best mate. Rest in Pies Dave

RIP Dave. Don't do cookery programmes where the "chefs" egos are bigger than their talents, but Dave and Si were so down to earth, with lovely northern accents, and obvously such good mates, they were very watchable.

When he wast first poorly, I read quite a bt about his background in Barrow, he certainly had a very challenging early life, yet kept a soft and gentle humour.

He was born in Barrow and loved the place. Had a tough childhood looking after his poorly mother and then his father. Then suffered with allopecia and lost his hair. To achieve what he did was incredible. Lovely man and a sad loss.

In his latest series they were in Barrow and Dave said that he identified as a proud Lancastrian. Although Barrow is now in Cumbria it was part of Lancashire when he was growing up.

Devastated, you could tell that Dave and Si were absolutely devoted and loved each other, and I say that in a manly way.

Lovely to see, and I will miss their excellent series and quips.

I too thought he had turned the corner, but what an utter bastard Cancer is.

RIP Dave

Remember on Strictly how desperate he was to compete at Blackpool coz he could see the tower across Morecambe Bay. RIP Dave.

Yeah I watched it last night. He was obviously very ill looking at it now but great that he kept on doing what he loved right up to the end.

The latest episode was very sad. Even his mate knew he didn’t have long. Hairy bikers are the most enjoyable TV ‘chefs’.
I see a parallel with Bob Mortimer. I fear he may be lost soon.

6,000 bikers paid their own tribute to Dave today, riding en masse from Beverley to Scarborough and raising money for cancer research 👍
Co-presenter Si King said: “He would have loved it”.
I'll bet he would have. It must have been one hell of a sight (and sound).
