Rip Taylor Hawkins... Foo Fighters

How awful. Just 50 years old.

Weirdly I was watching the Hot Ones show with Dave Grohl on YouTube last night.
 
Shite need to wake up to. Not a massive Foos fan barring earlier songs, but liked the band, all decent musicians and personalities. Loved Nirvana, feel for Dave Grohl going through this again.
RIP Taylor Hawkins.
 
Sad news, whilst not my cup of tea I know they were very good at what they did. I’ll be surprised if it wasn’t drug related, past or present. RIP
 
Terrible news. He really was one of the good guys, he just loved what he did.
When one of the Foos' massive tours ended, he would go and play with his local covers band.

Yeah thats the thing, Grohl struggled when Kobain killed himself. Him and Hawkins were so close. Obviously feel for Taylors family but I feel for Grohl too.

I've seen the Foos live about 10 times, Hawkins has some voice on him. He's a fantastic singer as well as a drummer. Love it when the do Grohl on drums and Hawkins singing.

Been talking about him all day with my wife and son....son is into drumming and we were going to see the foos in june...absolutely devastated!
 
According to the latest reports after a medical examination he had a mixture of 10 related drug cocktails in his body. 😮
 
The autopsy showed a greatly enlarged heart, about twice the normal size. I guess that might imply prolonged drug abuse? Or other health issues causing high blood pressure for a long time.

Sad news but if you're gonna fuck about with opioids, prescription meds and god knows what else, then you're gonna get what's coming to you I'm afraid.

Or alcohol, or too much fatty food, or drive too fast, or take up a dangerous sport...

All these people also deserve to die apparently.

What judgement have I passed? The judgement that taking 10 drug substances is bad for you and may cause harm to the body/mind and potentially cause death? That's not me. That's science.

He had 2 kids, 13 and 16, I feel worse for them than anyone else.
