Ripping Yarns.

'kick it...'!

it's not a competition, i know, but MP was (is) always the funniest of the python lot. no coincidence he's a northern lad. well aware he went to public school but there's definitely the sheffield streak in him and his humour.

and talking of MP, ' a private function' gets overlooked too. that's a cracker and well worth a re-visit if you've not seen it for a while.

Best film about being a football fan ever made
Sums up all our trials & tribulations supporting clubs like ours ; something a lot of Premiershite watchers will never understand.

'8-1 BLOODY 8-1'. brilliant !

If we somehow manage to fend off The Tractor Boys for the title tomorrow Mrs Muncher's (that sounds so wrong) prize crockery will be in severe jeopardy 😂

aye lad (or lass). funny to think that two of the best representations of football in film/tv are both rooted in south yorkshire (kes, being the other one).
Brian Glover was immense in Kes, that football scene was so accurate of schooldays footy, kids who hated having to play in the cold with no interest, etc. great observational content by the legendary Ken Loach.

my favourite film. brutal yet hilarious. bittersweet. the best scene too, probably, - "and it's the fair-haired, slightly balding charlton, to kick-off..."

"drip dry lad....drip dry, :)
