It is actually frightening. Those who undoubtedly rule us are this ignorant.
Not sure ignorant is fair... Iā€™m actually astonished at how little people know about my industry... many on here... to me itā€™s not their fault nor are they ignorant... itā€™s not taught and theyā€™ve no real need to find out... šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

I do know how to use a hammer, just and a screwdriver and sometimes a drill, although that often goes wrong. D.I.y was not something I was taught, or my parents did, so I do have some sympathy with Rishi, just.

I went to a grammar school but it was still compulsory to do woodwork and metalwork and how to use the associated tools.

Basic skills like wiring a plug should also be compulsory. Trouble is, in a throwaway society, things with plugs are thrown away rather than change a fuse, for example.

That Sunak fellah is challenged in so many ways it seems. He was walking weedily to somewhere or other the other day with an MP either side of him. His height and body frame in contrast to them. Looked like a cross between Angus Young and Jimmy Clitheroe.

I get that but this is just such a basic. or did the lady alongside him set him up?

I think you do a great job, having spent 22 years working 1 step downstream of farmers,I know a little of what it really means

Obviously, most on this thread are having a little fun with Rishi and his inability to perform the simplest of manual tasks... but I do find it a little hypocritical of our left leaning, Guardian reading Nobility... to blatantly mock the afflicted šŸ˜‰

I guess the mocking will be retracted now?

Thatā€™s because she appreciated he was cack-handed and would not be able to hit the pin cleanly with the proper small face of the hammer, so advised him to use the bigger side. Itā€™s still a fail.

Bloody hell I was taking things to bits & soldering stuff back together on my Scalextric or train set when I was about 10 & that was before any woodwork or metalwork. I don't understand how some get by at home as it's virtually impossible to get any trades to turn up for minor jobs. Not having a go at you BTW, just saying. In the case of Sunak these rich entitled tossers will just delegate it.
