First saw Andy F L live about 2008 I obviously knew of him but wasn’t too bothered about listening to his set as there was someone on another stage who I wanted to see. But he started 15 minutes before the other so I caught the first part & he blew me away, needless to say I stayed until the end. If you get the chance he’s definitely worth a watch.

What a prick Vic Reeves makes of himself every year! AFWL was amazing tonight as was Ruby Turner but life’s been cruel to Roland like us all l suppose!

My first ever 'concert' was with Ruby Turner at The Junction pub in Harborne in Birmingham in 1982
20+ sixth formers having their first beers listening to Ruby kick out some gospel, soul and funk for the underage.

Cant believe, she's still kicking out the tunes 40 years later.......
