Rory’s Back

Looks like Rory Mcilroy is back to his best , played some fantastic golf , and his wedges are the hottest they’ve been for a while.
... I’m sure Rorys “ wedgies” are as you describe...probably best keep it to yourself though...😳😂

It was one of the best last day finishes for a long time.

Thomas, Finau and McIlroy served up some utterly stupendous golf. I was glued to it. Looked like Rory's nerves had gotten to him but then his 2nd on 17 was just out of this world stiffing it to a foot.

And Justin Rose had a put for a 59 (ended on 60) with 2 bogeys on his card. Outrageous. Then again Rory would have been close to the 59 if his short putting hadn't evaded him.

Anyway fcuk LIV. The "proper" golf wins hands down.

DJ, the only one there who would pose a real threat. Add Dechambeau who joined at the weekend
27 out of the world's top 150 have defected.
27 ultra greedy bastards🤷

I expect a few more will jump on the basis this first lot have (not) answered most of the tricky questions. Bizarre by any standards when you consider the gravy train they haved waved goodbye to, let alone the reputational damage which must affect their massively lucrative sponsorship deals. I'd have though most of this lot make at least as much from the latter plus appearance money?

I'm going to the Saturday of the Open at St Andrews next month. It will be interesting to see what kind of reception the defectors get! Most of the list above have had their day; I guess much like the footballer knowing they have 1 more big move in them, like they haven't got enough already. Greedy bastards!

I spent my full evening last night watching it, there was some fantastic golf on show.

Conners, Rose, McIlroy, Finau & Thomas (until the 16th) stand outs for me.

Let’s hope he takes it into the US open next week.

Just as long as your morals stretch across to all sports.

Boxing, Football, F1 & Golf. 👍🏼
I think it's disgusting that such regimes are allowed to "buy interest" in top sports. But there is precious little going to happen about it anytime soon. British Governments on both sidea of the house have made gazillions from them selling war toys for decades.

Add in we have the most imorral and corrupt government of all time makes us almost as bad as the regimes under scrutiny.

The Saudi "royalty" are desperately trying to ensure that "The Kingdom" doesn't disappear off the superr rich countries top table once there oil runs out (sooner rather than later hopefully). Chucking money all over the place even trying to advertise Saudi as a holiday destination ffs. Trying to buy respect, I hope they fail miserably and end up camel herding into oblivion.
