Rubbish!

How about announcements asking people to put their water bottles etc. etc. in bins.
Or, better still, announcements asking them to take their rubbish home with them.
Cameras around and anyone throwing rubbish down gets a 4/5/6/ match ban.
A bit difficult to organise I know, but got to start somewhere.
Would you be able to appeal the ban? Say it if dropped out your pocket? Would the ban get increased?

Could make a good watch for Tangerine TV.

Welcome to this weeks litter droppers with Jed Mills. Can you spot the guy who dropped a Mars bar wrapper in the West? Spare a thought for the 8 year old girl who dropped 2 Skittles and now misses Middlesbrough at home with a 1 game ban.

I take a small backpack and put all my rubbish back in it to dispose of when I get home, so not me.

A quick aside Bayern. Went with friends yesterday afternoon to a newish place in Kirkham called the Bierhaus. It's owned and run by a German family and has Bitburger and Ayingerbrau on draught with a food menu majoring in German sausages. It also has a couple of real ales on. Not cheap but worth a look.
Thanks for that 1966 I'll have a look in there 👍

Is this all about fan engagement? Does the club not employ any cleaning or maintenance staff?
He is engaging with the fans about how to remove their own litter.

I don’t know why the SLO bothers with this role. He works for free and has yet to make an announcement that hasn‘t led to him being criticised or harangued for often little reason.

It isn’t rocket science, it’s just common decency. FGS just take your litter with you and put in the bags provided at the end of each game !!

My kids were easier work as babies than some of you guys 🤦‍♀️

I’m not saying people should leave litter everywhere, dont think ive ever left litter anywhere…Why don’t they ask for volunteers to come in and mow the grass for example🤣
It’s a business, surely they should provide staff?

It's a problem within society littering not just football grounds , I live near Stanley Park and one day this week the defunct bowling greens were covered in litter.

It's a regular occurrence on one of the nicest parks in England .

What's the answer?

If you love the Club and want to help simple take your rubbish home or use the bins , and irrespective of your views on volunteers they do a good jo
and deserve our support. UTMP . Edited

They should still enploy proper cleaners rather than begging for volunteers. Sure supporters can drop their litter in a bin (if one is provided) but surely they cant expect the match going supporter to bring a brush to give the place a sweep.

This smacks of tinpot, i'm afraid to say.

Who’s “begging for volunteers”?

Did you not know that we’ve had volunteers doing this since before Sadler took over?

The club didn’t ask… the fans offered 😉

Of course, had you actually been a Blackpool Fan (as opposed to a Knob End Fan) you’d have realised that …

I’ll give you one thing, you’re persistent of nothing else 😂

Boring, somebody says something you dont agree with so call them a preston fan.

If people have like you say, volunteered to go and pick up rubbish, then whats the big deal. People have always left their pie tin on the floor, similarly leave pint (plastic) glasses anywhere at half time.

Christ, volunteering to pick up rubbish then moaning becuase there is rubbish 😂

I called you a knob end fan (not a Preston fan)…😉

I don't know why he bothers either as i think he's useless

Well, I put my stuff in the bins provided, saw some didn't as there was loads on the bottom row, a bit lazy but tbf the message needs time to get round as you can't always hear Mr Parr....

Of course. Nothing wrong with that.
Hmmm, I bought a pint and a bottle of water for my grandson, then at halftime a hotdog and a Cornish pasty. The bar was packed at halftime, not all pensioners admittedly, but a fair few, including me. So lay off the pensioners in the west, they pay more for their season ticket and spend in the lib. They also buy xxx shirts.

And people lay off the young lads in the North. 2 way respect. 👍🏼

The removal of litter bins on railway stations initially came about because of 'terrorism', and the concern that some scrote would leave an i.e.d concealed amongst the litter therein.
I assume that football grounds followed suit, and removed them from areas where a large amount of people would congregate

That probably explains why Preston have kept all theirs!! 😂
