I’m not one for conspiracy theories. But there is a question to answer as to why all these (53) years later, no one has managed to return to the moon. With such advancements in technology as we now have, like you say.
It doesn’t stack up.
Man may have landed on the moon, but it’s seems beyond our current capability to go back.

It could be down to money and having the will, but surely we should have been back by now?

It’s over 50 years since we were three. In the relative blink of an eye, it will be 100 years. Will we even manage to return within 100 years? I wouldn’t bet my life on it. (Not cos it’s unlikely, but more because I won’t be around to collect my winnings in 47 years time).

We were in the middle of a Cold War at the time along with a Space Race. If there was any hint there was fakery involved, the Russians would have been all over it.
