He was brilliant in the first half against Blackburn.A bit of an invisible man (not in a bad way) lately which suggests to me he is not doing a lot wrong.
I am going to watch him a bit closer tonight as I am puzzled why after the first few games I haven't noticed him going about his business so much.
I've said this before I think it's partly because physically he doesn't stand out so you just simply don't notice him. He's Mr Average in that respect but probably an above average footballer. He's doing OK, quite busy, covers alot of ground and is efficient without being exciting.A bit of an invisible man (not in a bad way) lately which suggests to me he is not doing a lot wrong.

I noticed David Vaughan doing great things all over the pitch.Very much a David Vaughan type of player, works hard for the team but you hardly notice him, very underrated player.
I think it's because we are playing with two central midfield players and everybody else plays three. Our two are reluctant to get forward. England midfield players in the Ericson era said it was always a problem for them in a rigid 4 4 2 when everybody else had five or six in midfield. If i were Chritchley i would be demanding more from the midfielders, it was so frustrating watching our defenders giving Stewart, Wintle and then Dougal the ball in the hope they would progress the attack. what did they do? they passed it straight back.
we were 1-2 down and looked like we were just playing out time, we need to show some urgency and take responsabity.
Vicky Beck certainly noticed himI noticed David Vaughan doing great things all over the pitch.
madine wins 90 percent of the high balls for us and can hold up play at the moment hes our biggest outlet as we just end up tippy tappy back and forth with defence and midfield then hoof it upI think it's because we are playing with two central midfield players and everybody else plays three. Personally I would be happy to sacrifice Madine who so rarely scores or assists, and play Anderson or Carey behind Yates or Lavery.
And nothing comes of it, play an attacking midfield player in between the lines and supporting Yates, give Dougall and Wintle more passing options on the deck and maybe occasionally they might get ahead of the centre forward themselves.madine wins 90 percent of the high balls for us and can hold up play at the moment hes our biggest outlet as we just end up tippy tappy back and forth with defence and midfield then hoof it up
Well, what can you say about him tonight apart from get him signed?I've said this before I think it's partly because physically he doesn't stand out so you just simply don't notice him. (Actually that sounds like he's average)
If my post sounded critical of him it wasn't meant to be. He's one of those that you can probably describe as a "player's player".Well, what can you say from him tonight apart from get him signed?
Good try but it's too late now.If my post sounded critical of him it wasn't meant to be. He's one of those that you can probably describe as a "player's player".
