Sadler speaks

It's great to read all of the comments of appreciation for what SSS (Sir Simon Sadler) has done for us. We should all be eternally grateful. And whilst we are all on cloud nine at the moment following the promotion, we should not forget this even during the more difficult times when results are not going our way. For me, SSS is the perfect owner. I'd much rather have him than one of those billionaire owners that think they can buy anything they want and treat their club like a trophy asset. With these type of owners the club loses its soul. Thankfully, there is no chance of that happening with us as long as SSS is in charge. He has tangerine blood in his veins and that is priceless in my mind. It's something you cannot just buy, you need to have it. It's also great to see his boy with him at the games towards the end of the season. Perhaps there is a dynasty in the making here 🙏.
PS even though I suspect somebody at the club keeps an eye on forums such as this, it would be great if the site mods or somebody else with the contacts can make sure that the great man himself gets to read this thread. He deserves to know how highly we all think of him and appreciate everything he is doing for the club and the wider community👍.

Don’t worry mate…… Brett and Simon definitely read 😀👍🏼😉

Since Mr Sadler took the reigns of this mighty club, I have looked forward to his annual statement ( letter to the fans). It fills me with so much pride to be part of this magnificent club in a way I could have ever imagined. Thank you Mr Sadler .

Great read, the man is an absolute class act and I’m so excited to see where he’s gonna take us in the next few years. The fact he started planning for next season the morning after the final is unheard of. UTMP!

Anyone else pinch themselves to see if you're going to wake up?

Total respect for what he does, but wanting the community involved at every level is the icing on the cake. He sounds a bit overawed himself as a fan, love him to death.

Long live Sir Simon of the Saddles

I wonder why Karl or Owen never wrote anything like that? 🤣

He makes it clear that he sees us as a mid table Championship club and the aim is to consolidate. And he's clear that he doesn't have the funding to push on from there, further progress will have to come from good management, developing young players, and generating income, presumably from player sales.

So I don't expect us to be spending much on transfer fees this summer. Maybe a couple of million tops? We must've spent a million or so on fees last summer. But we be seen Jerrys value go from 200k to at least 2m, maybe 4m. And other players have added value too.

What an enjoyable read that was! Just exciting, refreshing and inspirational from start to end! It truly is an astonishing time to be a Seasider 🧡

Yep. The club we should have been set to be for decades after the Prem windfall that was illegally stripped from us. The Oystons made us feel like we were over achieving when we were in League One. Having a new owner that actually gets that makes me feel proud. We’re in safe hands.

Yes, that's right clappers and I think the Os never understood the word 'investment'. SSS certainly does and has proved that sensible investment and getting the right infrastructure and personnel in place can absolutely produce results 👍
