Wasn't the figure of £500k quoted a couple of seasons ago?

Interesting to see when the hospitality room will be finished, heard last game they had binned the company that were doing it.

I will never understand this obsession with needing a PA system.

If you want to listen to music, put your headphones on and tune into Radio 1.

I'd rather be speaking to the people with me and/or creating an atmosphere.

They should be able to put the words that they want us to hear on the screen and the electronic advertising hording (which is inclusive) so we don't have listen to whatever drivel is being said on the microphone.

There is one exception. and that's an emergency announcement - and I mean a real one, not Shouty saying "we're going to get a points deduction, please leave the pitch" squeal.

I’ve always said that if I win the lottery i’d pay for a new PA system. It’s so shockingly embarrassingly awful that I’d rather we didn’t bother with a PA announcer at the moment. He’d be of more use pouring pints of Campo and dishing out pies on a match day. Then when I win the lotto I’d install the PA system buy him a few fancy jingles, make him wear a tangerine dicky bow and give him his job back.

I think you only need a PA for the walk out music. That should be loud a nd audible in the concourses and basically tells fans to get to their seats.

I'd prefer another screen in the NW corner (NE not practical because of the sun).

Our sound system and use of electronic scoreboard leaves a lot to be desired. The Cod's seem to have got it right but they don't really need a sound system as the PA man could just shout to the crowd. Thought that health and safety might come to it regarding emergency announcements as you can hardly hear it at present.

They could just whisper to the nearest person and tell them to pass it on.

The music detracts from the atmosphere in the pre match build up.

As suggested above just use the PA system for important messaging and when paying respect for people or the sad events that unfold periodically in this crazy world we live.

If that’s what we decide to do then I can’t see £500k needs spending but I am definitely not an expert.

What if there’s nothing wrong with the PA system and that’s just how the announcer talks. Has anyone thought around that?
