Slept on it, and still pissed off we didn't get another striker..We look weak up top.. I'm hoping Critchley changes the formation today as we've not got the quality yet to be playing 3-5-2

This has annoyed me even more after hearing about Clark-Harris going to Bristol Rovers late last night. WTF are the club doing? We are so glaring obviously light upfront!
Lavery - injured
Beesley - not good enough
Joseph- injured and not a CF
Which leaves our hope for goals pinned on Rhodes a 33yo who’s never going to manage 90 minutes every game.
We needed a Cosgrove type player so badly if we are to compete this season. I fear by January we will be cast adrift from the top places and a goal by then will be to chase the final play off spot again (at best)!

We’ve obviously chose Rhodes over Cosgrove.

I’ll have a stab in the dark that was financially with Hudds willing to pay more of his current wage.
 
Agree that we now look weak up front when if Joseph and Shayne were fit we’d look well stocked - however I wouldn’t have been excited by Cosgrove signing.
I’d rather see Holmes than him and Holmes isn’t good enough in what I’ve seen so far.
 
I'm not bothered by us not getting Cosgrove at all. Whilst I was hoping for a striker I can also see why we wouldn't. Rhodes just in, Lavery out for only a week or so, Joseph back in a month or so, also have Beesley, Dembele may end up playing off a lone striker too so we have plenty just not in the immediate short term but there's also a break coming up.
 
Delebele could prove to be the signing of the season. He looks mint on utube (ok, so do I!) and will supply the crosses / passes for Jordan Rhodes to score a hatful starting today. UTMP!
