Gone to Wimbledon for the rest of the season on loan. Good keeper who will do well for them. Knew he wouldnt stay at Reading when not even a sub for their cup match.

Yep agree with everything above, I quickly formed a high opinion of him and I am kind of disappointed he’s ended up going to another League 1 club. Maxwell has done very little wrong though so yes there’s probably not room for both of them. Maybe a case of the right player at the wrong time

Pointless trying to get him unless another loan until end of the season because of his wages and if that was the case he'd expect to start not watch from the stands as we use Simms as the sub goalie because of the homegrown player rule.

We've had 3 loan GK recently and all have been decent ended up a toss of a coin between Maxwell and Alnwick don't see it as an issue of having a decent number two when it's quite easy to pick another up.

Agree with all the above. Great keeper, tied in with leaving his family over Christmas. Love the guy for that alone, top pro.

With a young family it’s more than likely he didn’t want to be away from them for a long period and Wimbledon is probably a lot closer to home for him. Hopefully his time here helped towards him getting the move.
