What's everyone's plan on matchday then?

I've missed so much about attending games and this time around, I've promised myself to make a day of it rather than just an afternoon out to the ground and back.

We loved the Southend homecoming so our plan is to do something similar and drink in the Albert and Lion by the tower and then walk to the ground in time for kick off.

Undecided on what to do post-match as yet however that'll likely hinge largely on the outcome of the match.

What's your plan?

Full breakfast, walk the dog, watch the sports headlines, Armfield club, Game, back to the pub (not decided which one yet)

My Mum, Sister and Nephews are in Blackpool for the weekend (non-football related) so I’ll be down early to meet them for the morning. Nephew’s are off to the Pleasure Beach so walk down there with them. Probably stop off for a Notarianni’s and have a walk along the promenade whilst catching up with my Mum/Sister.

After the game I’ll probably just grab something to eat, get changed and then I’m doing the 10K at Run the Lights which starts at 9pm. 👍

Good luck in the 10k. I did the run the lights 5k event a few years ago (2017). Sometimes I do a Parkrun in either Stanley Park or Lytham when I’m up early enough.

Cheers! This is my 3rd year in a row doing it. I haven’t been keeping up with my running though so I’ll be breathing a little heavier this time. 😅 When I lived in Thornton I always went to do the Fleetwood Parkrun. Could be brutal at times along the front.

Staying at Michelles hotel so arriving around 4pm, settle in, fish & chips, couple of beers then off to the Waterloo for a gig, early night, lullabied to sleep by a genteel hen party. Lie in on Saturday, full English in town and then off to the POC and meet up with old friends. Post match snifter and then off to Lytham for dinner with friends before another early night and an early departure on Sunday morning back darn Sarf!

Breakfast full English
Pub (Farmers then the Dog) by 12
Ground just after 2 (can see it being very busy getting in)
Match
Back to the pub TBD

Over to the parents on Saturday morning, Breakfast at theirs, go see the Nan (who lives around the corner from Bloomfield Road) walk up to club at the top of Falmouth Road (members of the Armfield but likely too busy for the old mans tastes) and then on to Bloomfield Road for the game. Chippy tea, maybe a Chinese, and depending on the outcome of the game (and number of units consumed) possibly crash at the parents or drive back to Lancaster

My eldest daughter usually comes to BR with me but can’t make it this time due to work so my missus is accompanying me on her first ever football match. I’m treating her to the North End so hopefully the noise will put her off and she won’t be so inquisitive in future !
A risky strategy FT, as she's just as likely to love the atmosphere created by the KNights and the Muckers and want to go to every home game!
Good luck & let us all know how you go on.

Well the missus came with me and despite my advance warning on the noise level she thought she’d give it a go.
I couldn’t have picked a better spot, in the North. Block B, Row D 😂
She said that was the first time she felt intimidated by an atmosphere but she managed to get into it.
The lads around us were fantastic in all fairness to them and sang their hearts out.
She said she will return to BR too despite today’s disappointing result.
Just as I’ve got my voice back from Bristol last weekend I’ve now lost it again !
UTMP

That's brilliant FT and we're so glad she enjoyed the experience and realises what she's been missing - if only you'd have taken to the homecoming game, where the stadium bounced all afternoon!
It was our 4 year old grandson's 1st game. We sat in the south, so he could see and hear the north.
He had his photo taken with Bloomfield Bear, and he clapped and sang his little heart out (even if he didn't fully understand what was going on!) and did the same in the car back to Cheshire - until he fell asleep.
We would have loved a victory (even a goal) but the score didn't matter as his experience was far more important.
Onwards and upwards.
