Saturday Pre-Match Drinks - Chorley

Chorley always was a good place to spot off at. Used to be loads of Pool fans do it.

I seem to recall that after one destructive Saturday game the Police then stopped fans getting off the train.

Wasn't the Swan with 5 necks one of the popular choices? Used to go there on the Blossoms Coach back in the early 80's on the way to the likes of Bury and Rochdale.

Bolton v Blackpool in Nov 2010 in the Prem and I think Preston played Millwall the same day.

So it went off between pool and Millwall

Actually it kicked of between Pool and Bolton. TV went through the pub window. As certain Pool had, err southern accents, Wall got the blame.

I can confirm that the Swan only had 2 necks. Last time I saw it it was all boarded up.
The Spoons in Chorley is the Sir Henry Tate and not far from the station. Across the road from the station is Calico Lounge and if you carry on across the car park past that one you'll see the spoons right in front of you.
There are plenty of decent little boozers in Chorley.

My Wife's from Chorley but livid in Adlington ,three nice pubs and five mins from the ground if driving or by train then next stop is the Bolton football ground .
